    Eddy Curry - C - Chicago Bulls Jan 20

The 31 year-old man who dresses as 'DA Bull', the Chicago Bulls mascot, was arrested today for selling mar1juana out of his car.
The Bulls' Web site identifies Da Bull as the muscular, slam-dunking cousin of the team's other mascot, Benny the Bull. The team is considering replacing the former mascot with Eddy Curry in an effort to get something out of his rookie contract.

Curry would probably underachieve at that too. Is this guy disappointing or what? 12/6 going into his 3rd year? Man. Wasn't this guy the 'next shaq'? Hell Yao did better when he was about the same age and he was suppose to be the next 'shawn bradley'. :D

Actually, Curry's stats have improved since his rookie year, although his fg% has dropped a TON this year. But it's amazing how many single digit scoring and rebounding games he has(only 4 double doubles all year  ) ...he just doesn't feel like playing most days I guess.

Hes got Kelvin Cato Syndrome. We need to get him here and tap that potential.

Actually, this year has been surprising. He was voted most likely to have a break-out season by all the NBA GM's etc. He was looking pretty good for the last few months of last season. Then, this year he hasn't shown up. I still think he can become a pretty good player.

Hell, Sofoklis Schortzafanklis or whatever his name is (the dude that got drafted out of Greece this year) was supposed to be the next Shaq, and he went in the 2nd round. ;)

Eddy Curry just doesn't have the same winner mentality that most of the other high schooler turned pro has. He seems to be content to be making money without doing anything. Being on the Bulls can't help matters any.

Curry, Chandler, and Kwame all came into the league thinking that they already were All Star level and never have put in the work. Tracy McGrady never worked on his game until late into his third year.

    Lazy.

I'm not sorry to see them about to get smacked with the RFA tag instead of the max extensions they figured they'd cash "potential" in for.

I for one still like Eddy Curry's potential as a pure natural center. He should be better off once he leaves Chicago. This guy maybe lazy, but at least he's not crazy. Even if he continues to underachieve, he should be a top five center in a few years. How many centers average double-figure scoring these days anyway?

On the other hand, I really like Tyson Chandler. He's been injured most of this season. But when he was healthy, he was playing really well (dominating at times). And this kid does have that desire and makeup to get better. I think that he should end up being the best high school big man out of that draft class if he stays healthy.

Tyson does work harder than Curry. He is a consistent rebounder and decent shot blocker who runs very well but he lacks the low post moves that a PF should have unlike Curry who is more skilled offensively on the low block.

I'd like Chandler at the 4, but either one of those guys could work with some coaching and development.

A lot of the young players don't make the leap to being a good player till their third season. It doesn't mean they don't work on their game.
