Am i the only one who didn't realize he was averaging 18/7 this year and already has a career high of 36 pts? And hes also top 5 in ft attempts. A couple of years ago i thought he was just horrible. 2nd or best center in the East?
Curry is still terrible. He can't rebound or play defense a lick. He's a pretty respectable offensive weapon, but so was Mo Taylor.
Why teams don't send a double-team at him every time he touches the ball, I'll never understand. There's a great NY Times bit about him today: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/02/s...l?_r=2&ref=basketball&oref=slogin&oref=slogin It's not that he "deserves" a double-team, it's that he reacts as if you or I would in the midst of an NBA double-team: the dude freaks out. Five turnovers for every assist this year, which is down from 9.4 turnovers for every assist in 2005-06. A really great guy, he just doesn't really love the game all that much.
I love this quote from Thomas: LOL, only three or four more months and the Knicks will have righted the ship as far as Curry's passing goes. Aim high zeke!
And he's really not improving. The turnovers have been cut a little bit, but across the board, he's producing as much as he did last year: 17 PER last year, 16.72 this season. Playing seven more minutes per game, but averaging just one more rebound per game. Rebound rate is DOWN to 12.3 this year, from 14 last year. Averaged 21 points per 40 minutes last year, averaging 21.8 points per 40 this year -- even with the increased attempts (15 per 40 this year, up from 12.8).
