Starting Curry and Randolph together was a total catastrophe. So, just by virtue of that lineup change, they should be at least a couple games better.
If Curry would just get into shape he could be a top 5 center in the league....Yao, Howard, Bynum, Oden, and then Curry. Yes I know it's a stretch.
funny story, but that might have happened to yao if he sat on the ball all practice too. about not starting: the knicks need to find a taker for him. he wont fit in dantoni's system, nor will randolph for that matter but no one wants his contract.
It is. Yet, it's a fairly believable one and it describes a lot of players that never became stars or at least lived up to their potential in this league.

Sadly, an "in shape" Eddy Curry is about as realistic a concept as a 7' tall Chuck Hayes, Luther Head with mad handles, and a unicorn.
Putting Randolph and Curry together in the paint is like placing two pigs in a bathtub - there's just not enough space for all the meat.
Your hypothetical "if" is a pipe dream. If Aaron Brooks was 5 inches taller and just as fast, he could...blah blah blah. Curry has always been lazy and undermotivated. In fact, he's so fat he popped an exercise ball by sitting on it. Tsk tsk. http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/knicks/2008/10/currys-bubble-bursts-in-more-w.html Poor Eddy Curry. He sat on the giant blue physio-ball during a break from Monday’s practice and the ball exploded. Eddy fell and scraped and his wrist but should be okay. The ball, which is used for stretching exercises, was pronounced dead at the scene. And it gets worse for Eddy. Barring injury or the best two weeks of practice of his life, Curry will not be a starter on opening night. Instead, Mike D’Antoni’s starting five appear to be set: Chris Duhon, Jamal Crawford, Quentin Richardson, David Lee and Zach Randolph. D’Antoni essentially said as much at Monday’s practice when he was asked about making changes to the lineup and he responded by saying, “when I get stuck, I get stuck.” Curry and Stephon Marbury are the odd men out and it will be interesting to see if they can crack D’Antoni’s eight or nine man rotation. Nate Robinson should be the first guard off the bench and D’Antoni could decide to play small which is good news for second year forward Wilson Chandler. Curry will get minutes ahead of Malik Rose but only until Jared Jeffries returns. Assuming Marbury is still on the team when the regular season begins, he will the fourth guard...
it was pretty amazing that they managed to get #1 and #2 in the eddy curry ratio together in the same starting lineup. talk about a lazy, unmotivated, don't do the little things frontcourt. LMAO. great line and great story.
anyone have the clip of nate robinson doing all this fancy dribbling and didnt even know the shot clock was running out, it expires and i think it was vs the 76ers and their whole bench was just laughing at him.
