after simmering down, i still hate "the little dribbler". that said... did anyone else notice that even after ignoring the pick from eddie griffin, moochie still had eddie open? at the 20.3 sec dribble mark, eddie was 5 feet away, to "the little dribbler's" right side 4 feet behind the line - OPEN. i won't rehash what TLD did, that's been covered enough in other threads. however, i would have much rather seen eddie shoot one from 27 feet (he DOES have the range) than seen TLD "do a little dance...dribble a little more...use up the clock". lastly, why wasn't the pick and roll called using cuttino and eddie? it seems to me that cat and eddie were the 2 hot players in the game...why would anyone use TLD for that situation? he ended up 1-8 in the game. "do a little dance...dribble a little more...use up the clock!!!"
I agree verse, GRIFFIN WAS SITTING THERE WIDE OPEN til the end. It goes back to selfish play, and Moochie has no intention on passing the ball. He wanted to be the hero, and would risk the game to take that last shot. I am still waiting for Griffin to punch out one of our (selfish) players. Didn't he punch somebody, for not passing him the ball, in HS/CO. I think Moochie deserves to be punched for that BONEHEAD PLAY. Why would the Rockets settle on Moochie handling the ball anway? He has to be the worse player on our team handling the ball down the stretch. He is a much better spot-up shooter, then play maker. This is Rudys fault?
barbourdg, you're exactly right. notice every game winning shot that TLD has hit were when someone else set him up. never when he was handling the ball and creating his own shot. choosing to take the ball out of the hands of the two hottest players on the court for your team (cat and griff) is definitely a decision the coach made. and definitely a mistake. last...it was ty shine eddie punched out at seton hall. he gave shine a shiner. i think it's time he split TLD's wig.
