I can never and will never understand what was bugging Eddie Griffin. He was a talented guy, with the world at his finger tips. He had everything a guy could want: Fame, money, women, a great job. What was his problem?

Yeah. You got me. In BEFORE the lock sounds more right than In Between the Lock. My use of the word Between being that we post between the Start, and END ( lock ) of the thread. but the word BEFORE sounds more correct.
The guy was in terrible emotional pain. You may see him as having had the world at his fingertips, but he saw the world as something weighing him down and breaking his spirit. Fame, money, women and high-profile jobs of any kind are sources of additional stress, not happiness. From what little I know, the guy had a tough life and lived under extremely high expectations, and most often without any support from friends or family. If I'm not mistaken he lost a much older brother a few years ago he was close to. The world is full of Eddie Griffins -- they just don't fall under the scrutiny of fans. I think the Rockets (and Nets, and Wolves) tried to look out for him, but there's only so much support your employer can give you. That being said, I could care less what was in Eddie's bloodstream the night he died. I think what happened was inevitable and it was a terrible waste.
It can mean In Before The Lock, but only if you post something else. In the context used above, it means I Be (IB) The Lock. For example: This was posted in another thread|forum. IBTL. In other words, this thread is useless, lock it up please, admins. Another example of using IB... IBTECHIEROCKETSFAN
I don't understand what this is all about. Eddie Griffin amounted to nothing in Houston. He amounted to nothing in Minnesota. He was a loser with all kinds of substance abuse problems. This should not be a surprise to anyone.
Sad, but i guess Eddie was just looking for someone to love! But who cares about love if you got money and fame. Oh! And exrocket's story so it can't be lock just like that . Freaks!!
