What happened to this mans career? He went from the best comic and break out start in the 80s and 90s with some AWESOME classic movies and innovative characters but then he became a nobody...his best role is as the side kick to Mike Meyers in an animated film....

does anyone know what happened to him? Why did his career take such a nose dive?

give me Eddie Murphy's money and you can call my career whatever you'd like, even if you want to call it a joke.

Murphy is filthy rich. I doubt he's worried about status.

Isn't he like the highest grossing comedic actor ever. I don't think he's worrying about much.

He's basically been re-doing his Nutty Professor character for the last 15 years. It's possible his film success had less to do with his talent than his novelty in the early '80s, as basically an insurable Richard Pryor.

I seemed to remember him saying that he only wants to do kid-friendly movies now as a result. What a shame.

He met Dave. He should reteam with Arsenio and try to revive both their careers.

There's good money to be made making movies and dvds for kids.

    Sincerely,
