he never really impressed me, house is by definition streaky. i doesnt play defense enough and if he misses his first two shots chances are he'll miss everything he is gonna throw up and he will shoot the ball. There have been times when I've seen the guy score 12 points in like 2 mins off the bench.

good backup sg for NJ though, surprised he didnt want to stay in phoenix though at least for another season.

I'm surprised he didn't want to stay in phoenix too, considering he was playing for the heat. :D

It says "former Miami Heat Guard..."

Eddie House was with the Suns last season.

yes, however they were making reference to the fact he passed on his former team the miami heat.

former can mean a team played for in the past, not necessarily the last team he played for.

That's what I'm saying. I never said he was with the Heat, I said he was with Phoenix last season.

Well he is a big improvement for what could be the crappest bench in the league. You never can have enough shooters, New Jersey's not going to use Jeff McInnis anymore it seems anyway. Pretty darn good signing for the Nets.

which brings up the question where does McIness land?

I'm not gonna say we should look at him, but there are plenty of other teams who could use a backup PG who can score in bunches.

does he still have the drive though? He looked disinterested from what I saw of him last season.

    Nets sign Eddie House.

I was hoping we could snatch Eddie house from PHX. He can really shoot lights out and is a quick defender. He could have really help us with our backcourt problem.

As much as I want a shooter, House is not it.

    He doesn't play defense.

He can score in streaks, but is the kind of player that more scores on his own than within the offense, so he can sink your offensive rythum even more.

Just too unreliable and 1 dimensional for me, and I am still desperate for another shooter.

^^ but he can create his own shot. I think thats what we are seriously missing. Battier can't create his own shot, only Yao and Mac are capable of creating and scoring. We had Mike James who was creating and scoring so i think we could have taken a chance on Eddie House who could create his own shots when we need to.
