27 pts, 11 rebs, 7 3's!, 4 assists, 1 stl, 1 blk He led the Wolves in pts and rebs (more than KG!) what a nice return to Philly for EG..
i would really like to see that "hi and welcome to last week" picture for this thread. that thing always cracks me up.
I wish someone would make up a, "Just wait until he forgets to take his medication and misses a team flight" pic. It's just a funny feeling but I think it will come in handy.
AHHHHHHH AHHHHHH... well lets keep in mind that he would have a hard time getting these numbers in our system.. DAMN YOU EDDIE
Just wait until another girl makes him angry... then you'll be glad he's a T-pup. He's hanging out with Spree (1 game suspension for hurling profanity at spectators... nice.)
The guy rebounds pretty well for being out on the 3 point line all the time. Most of them are defensive rebounds but man think of what he could do on the offensive glass if he stayed inside. Man I'm having a hard time deciding whether or not to pick up E.Griffin over Dwight howard in my fantasy league .
I know it's bad, but part of me hopes Eddie has a relapse of some sort. We badly need a PF like him, and I don't want him contributing to any other team. Well, at least he's not with the Nets.
If we can't have him then nobody can. There is only one solution. Someone must kill him.... err.... or he has to kill someone. That's the ticket.
Rockets did the right thing by letting this fool go. Sure he his putting up nice numbers w/ T-wolves, but he was crap shoot. You never know what you are gonna get w/ Eddie. Next week he might snap and punch Garnett on the team flight. He's a head case.
well just to make myself feel better.... he had to make 7 3's to have this kind of game and we all know eddie's jumper isn't the prettiest looking thing. good game though. i'd love to still have him, he's quick and he's long, EXACTLY what we need but i still can't fault the rockets for dumping him. i thought his career was through.
he is suppost to be a senior in college right now. he is very young and will only get better. i wish him the best; i just wish he was with the rockets though.
OUT OF CURIOUSITY WHY IN THE WORLD DID WE CUT HIM??????????? Does anyone know the reasoning?? Why couldn't we just suspend him or trade or something... Why would we just let him go for nothing? Don't we still have to pay him cuz he got a gauranteed contract??? Why is he not a Rocket.. why do we have Mo Taylor.. We could be soo good if he was still here...
Actually I give Van Dummy most of the credit for this one. Les was respecting his new coaches stupid no tolerance policy.
It's not like ANY coach other than JVG could make him productive. He wasn't that great under Rudy T (a promising No.1 pick...for 3 years), and he bounced around Houston and NJ. The real factor here is Flip Saunder's underrated player coaching which handles Spree, an underpaid Cassel, and the tension between Garnett and Szerbiack. Besides Garnett probably has EG's weed on ransom or something.
No tolerance? lol Arrested for mar1juana posession in 2002-2003 Skipped a game in 2002-2003 for personal reasons (right in the middle of our playoff drive, where we promptly lost the next two games in Portland and Utah) Unexcused absense from a preseason game in 2003-2004 No showed for 3 scheduled practices in 2003-2004 Shot at someone a few days afterward Seems like the Rockets were quite tolerant until EG finally forced their hand.
Actually I hate folx that wish ill on others why hate EG and wish him ill? I think Ed made a great decision Minnesota has the least distractions of some of the big league teams that was courting him LA would have ripped him a new on I think the lack of external distractions is helping Rocket River
All of the above incidients were BEFORE Eddie got TREATMENT for his depression and drug problem. It will be interesting to see how he does now that he has been given MEDICAL TREATMENT FOR HIS PROBLEMS. The Rockets invested 3 first round picks yet didnt hold out to see how Eddie would respond after having MEDICAL TREATMENT. No one is saying Eddie isnt to blame here! He is. But he also had some problems that needed to be fixed medically. I just wish the Rockets would have held on to him long enough to see if he would RESPOND to those treatments. And it looks like he has in a positive way. Codell, I am willing to believe though that perhaps leaving Houston is PART of his mental therapy. To start over. So perhaps he never would have been able to turn it around in HOUSTON. But we will never know.
