Now that Van Gundy is the head coach of the Rockets. What do you think will happen to Eddie as a player. Will he have a break out season and become a player like Amare,Marcus(Camby),or anybody you can name.I think so.

Where is the "He will never amount to anything" option?

The 3 choices you gave us, are too optimistic for me.

I always thought he would end up being like Theo Ratliff. Which I dont is a bad thing at all.

I think he will develop into a more rebounding less scoring Rasheed Wallace. Better defensive player than Sheed, but a poorer offensive player.
With Yao, Steve and other players taking up shots in the future I think he will be a 12ppg, 9rpg and 2,5bpg type of player.

I'd like to see Griffin given 35 mins/ game for a stretch of say 10, 15 games and see how he does. If he does well, give him the job permanently. If he does not, try Mo T for the bulk of the minutes for a stretch.

I think it is unfair to both EG and MoT to play ~24 mins/ game. You just don't have enough court time to be effective. Many times EG played well for 12 mins, sat out the entire 2nd. Came back in the 3rd completely out of rhythm and effectively lost for the rest of the game.

EG by no mean has proven himself better than Mo T.
We could as well play Mo 35 minutes a game and EG 13 but I like to give EG the first shot because he is our future. Mo. T is better suited to come off the bench for short minutes and produces quickly too.

I think the other poll on Eddie is more accurate - At home smoking a blunt.

    Trade him if you can.

Yeah, I think Eddie made the league, cashed in, got his, and gave up. Trade him to someone more optimistic w/ more time to waste.

if he amounts to something, it will be on another team...he needs a chance to develop his post game...he was clearly not ready mentally and physically to make the jump to the pros after 1 year at seton hall...i look for him to be a possible jermaine oneal type...he also needs to develpo a hunger within himself, we'll see if that ever happens...

One thing I hope from Van Gundy is we won't have to wait long to find out about EG.

I think JVG will expect him to improve or move
