With a better helping defense down low , there's no reason we can't start Griffin at the 5 now.
    Griffin
    Wills
    Thomas
    Mobley
    Francis

Why start Griffin at the 5 if you're starting Willis too? That just moves them both out of more comfortable positions. If Eddie's starting at center, you may as well go the whole way with the young lineup:

    Griffin
    Thomas
    Torres
    Mobley
    Francis

I would like to see that lineup:

    PG Francis
    SG Mobley
SF/PF Taylor (he really does have SF numbers, not PF numbers)
SF/PF Thomas (he plays more like a PF than Taylor, but has the height of a SF)
    PF/C Griffin

    Backups:
    PG Moochie
SG/SF Langhi (no matter what anyone says, the guy can play, he just hasn't shown it during the regular season yet)
    SG/SF Torres
SF/PF Morris (good defender, but practice your shot!)
    PF/C Willis

Trade Walt, Cato, Collier for anything, preferably a shot-blocking center or Marc Jackson. LaFrentz would be perfect...

I start Willis with Griffin because I think he adds experience and some muscel down low. That would allow Griffin to be a goal-tender around the basket. Swatting away anything that get's past Willis. When Taylor get's back you then move him to your starting 4 and Willis becomes your second option off the bench , Torres being your first.

If Griffin winds up starting at the 4 this yr and puts up good numbers, what makes anyone think that he won't start next yr? Please, tell me what Taylor did to deserve such a strong following.

Why don't we just start Francis at C?

After all he can jump higher than all the Rockets...
