tough and interesting...I agree with the A&M sentiment. That class was harder than grad school classes at UH.
I took it last semester and my prof was crazy tough. She was only here for a couple semesters doing some work and is now gone. Apparently the new prof is way easier. Kind of upset about that.
Provided you paid attention in Micro and Macro, I think it's definitely easier the stronger your foundation in math. Without derailing the thread, I think it's a big mistake that High Schools don't require passing Stats and Calc (or at a minimum, pre-calc) to graduate.
Its the class I'm banking on after school. I got through Econometrics by applying it to NBA basketball. I'm now trying to find my way into analytics with a sports team. I'm currently in banking. My advice is to pay attention. Probably one of the most important classes you can take, particularly as an Economics major.
It's one of the first Econ classes at my school and I decided to just do it over the summer at UH, 5 week crash course, and they were saying at UH it was the toughest Econ class.
I wanted to take it over the summer but class filled up quick. Took it this Fall. I calculate I got a B but we had to do this damn project which was pretty tough.
This was my favorite class I ever took in college and one of the most useful. Sidenote - our professor was some sort of Brazilian genius brought over. She had to have been maybe 21 and was exotically hot. When she was teaching about dummy variables, her accent made it sound like "do me". It was rough.....
