Okay, I will be one of the first people to admit that I was not happy with us trading Jimmy Jackson and Bostjan Nachbar for David Wesley. I thought it was a terrible deal. But I did say that if the Rockets could turn things around, I would admit that I was wrong to doubt the deal.

I know there were many others that hated the deal.

Time for you to come out and join me in eating some crow. But this crow tastes good considering how well (well not counting today's 4th quarter) this team is playing.:D

I'm one of the few (I think it was only a few people) who like the Wesley deal when it happened, but I don't blame people for being skeptical about it. It's taking some time but he's coming around. And he's half shooting guard half PG so that is a huge plus. And notice how the Rockets don't turn the ball over a lot. You have 3 very good ball-handlers out there at the same time in Sura, Wesley and T-Mac. And they're all veterans who can hit the outside shot and defend and are very good passers. That's why I think these pick-ups, along with acquiring Barry, will pay huge dividends in the postseason.

I have to admit that I always had liked his game and remembered him being someone who always went off against us in the past. But I felt he was too old to be a contributor. But the guy is so active and he may be our best 3 point shooter (either him or Jon Barry) and showed that today by going 5 for 6 from behind the arc.

Wesley's game is gradually coming around slowly. In the last 6 games he has averaged an impressive....

i didn't understand the deal right when it happened but after thinking about it during the day and also how jj really wasn't any good this year, i thought it might work out. obviously it has. i'll have to say that the lue for barry trade still beats this one though. that was an absolute steal.

The perimeter defense with Wesley is just way better than it was with JJ. The games with the Bobcats emphasized that. There's no way Brevin Knight should be guarded by Sura. Quick point guards should be guarded by Wesley.

    Consider me eating.

Looks like the big impact has been in the locker room, and the overall energy on the court. Maybe JJ really was souring the team behind the scenes.

OK --I'll admit he is contributing more than I thought he would at his age. His defense is good. He contributed mightily today...

I was very disappointed in the cost of his contract, but it will be of value possibly next year.

I like our team, hell I love our team.

I just want to win and this is great.

I support the trade now, but maintain CD had nothing to do with it as Van Gundy is the de facto GM.....

Hopefully he can continue his shooting stroke. He's been getting the same looks game after game, but he's found his stroke lately.

Now that Wesley's game is coming around, it's time for Rod's game to arrive also. And I thing it is!

    Wesley deal still bad

The rockheads have been winning lots of close ones; not clear how long they can keep skating through.

Re Wesley, he's a 35yo w/ a career 42% shooting percentage (about the same as Iverson!) who hasn't even cracked 40% for a season since '02. Yes, the rockets have been playing well, but I'd place him behind McGrady, Yao, Sura, Howard AND Barry in importance. Jackson was a good soldier who provided the same veteran presence.

Secondly, isn't anyone else struck by the parallel w/ Minnesota of last year? Look at them now w/ everyone a year older...
