Ok, so 2nd half of the season starts tomorrow against Seattle and including that game we have 41 games left to go. Right now we are standing at 22-19 and are 10th in the West (not exactly what we pictured in the preseason) and to top that off we are fighting Utah and GS to make the playoffs. Personally I think that will change and we will instead be fighting Utah and Portland because I think Denver will clinch the Northwest division pushing Portland down to 8 seed, still both are tough to beat.

Will we make the playoffs? (I think to get in the playoffs in west we need to be at least 8 to 10 games above .500)

Our Schedule does get fairly easy (except a tough week in March) after a rough first half but this does not mean that we WILL win all the games we "should" win.

Here is a list of tough teams we will be facing out of 41 games.

Tough Teams(# of times we play them)
    Utah(2)
    Golden State(2)
    New Orleans(3)
    Dallas(1)
Charlotte(1) - Only because for some reason they beat all great teams.
    LA Lakers(1)
    Boston(1)
    Phoenix(2)
    San Antonio(1)
    Portland(3)
    Denver(2)

There is a stretch in March where we will play Lakers, Boston, New Orleans, Golden State and Phoenix all in one week and even back to backs!

    March
    Lakers - Sun 16 (W)
    Boston - Tues 18 (L)
    New Orleans - Wed 19 (L)
    Golden State - Fri 21 (L)
    Phoenix - Sat 22 (W)

Call me crazy but I think this 2nd half we will be 30-11 putting our overall season record to 52-30.

What do you guys think? Before you discuss check out the second half schedule. Click here for schedule

We're not a great team :D Therefore we'll own Charlotte. I like your positive thinking though!

Yup. You're crazy. A massive comet will strike the earth before the Rockets get 30 wins in the second half of the season.

Eh, I think it will be closer to 30 than 20 myself. With the way the team has played the middle quarter of the season without T-Mac, throwing him back in there seems good enough to make a 4-5 game improvement over the 1st half.(carbon copy the first half and you are at 44 wins, improve 4 games and you are at 48 wins).

We need to beat GW, NO, POR and UTAH. If we can do that, we will be in the playoff. I dont care how many wins we will end up with.
