Game 1 Saturday 7:30 EST What? No threads?! Remember all those Dwight Howard threads we had?!?! Orlando in 7
I actually think Orlando is a bad match up for the Pistons. To win this series, Detroit will need to be clicking on all cylinders and avoid the temptation to slack off. If they play anything like they did against the 76ers, they will be in for a rude awakening.
ORL 42: 43 DET I feel: DET's advantages: Billups, team defense ORL's advantages: Howard, 3pt shooting This series will go for 6-7 games.
I'd feel pretty good about that 1st half if I was Orlando. Their outside shooting was awful and they only trail by one. They will win this series if Jameer Nelson and Keith Bogans show up, but that's a big IF.
I honestly can't remember the last time I've seen a worse playoff crowd. Damn those Detroit fans are quiet, it's like a monastery or something.
Howard always can get superstar calls. After the 1st series, Chris Bosh said Howard always stayed in the paint 5-6 seconds, but never got a foul.
timeout Magic. it's 2 easy for the Pistons. 19-11 Dwight Howard is an amazing athlete. but his skills are still so raw. against bad teams, he can get good numbers by his raw athleticism and size. but not against a good team like Pistons.
Magic are playing like an overrated team. Main issue is Rashard Lewis, of course, who is eating up most of the salary cap on that team yet not giving the team anything. He looks soft and scared. I still dont know what the heck Magic were thinking when they gave him that contract. That move is going to keep them from contending. I bet the Magic franchise is gonna wish they had that kind of money to throw around at free agents available this season. Its also not helping that Dwight Howard is being exposed. Right now he is a bigger and better version of prime Ben Wallace with some raw offensive game. If he does not develop his footwork and get some moves under his belt, defense is just going to keep crowding him for turnovers. Rashard Lewis is flawed its not going to change. Dwight Howard is flawed until he develops his game. Looks like Hedo is their most consistent player right now and thats not enough against Pistons defense.
