If you have a chance to vote early, you might want to take advantage of it. Waited over an hour this morning to vote - long lines, hope that's a good sign; the lines will only get longer by 11/7. The election people didn't like my SOR t-shirt, but didn't make me take it off (many of those in line gave me a thumbs-up; hope that bodes well for the new Arena).

SOR shirt? Do you mean you have an arena t-shirt?

Maybe he made his own SOR.com shirt. A Beefy-T and some markers is all it really takes. [IMG]

I plan on voting tomorrow and holding a press conference at the polling place to tell everyone who I think they should vote for, Rick Perry style.

Did I add that I would speed to get there?

And, they're not going to do anything to him for obviously breaking the law.

I wonder if anyone has ever been prosecuted under said law. The most I've ever heard of is that the polling people ask the campaigners to stop and they stop. At least Perry did ask if it was okay ahead of time, and I doubt you could get a jury to actually convict him of anything.

There are instances when things are against the law but not against the law enough for people, in general, to think there should be actual punishment.

Remember when the Travis County DA went after Senator Hutchison for making personal and campaign-related phone calls from the Treasurer's office? She was acquitted, probably not because the evidence didn't support the charge, but because it is a grey enough area. What she (and those before her and those in other offices, too) did was probably technically against the law, but it wasn't enough to really warrant prosecution.

Well, I'll call ahead to the Travis County Courthouse tomorrow to inform them that I'll be wearing my "Vote Democratic" shirt when I come in to vote.
