    Lin
    Harden
    Lowry/Lawson (tie)

    Monroe
    Henderson
    Pekovic

All the other players are KNOWn contributors who just happen to get more minutes, or already play on good teams like Lou Williams and Gallinari. Ryan Anderson though he has improved, i dont consider him a real surprise. I've always thought he was a good stretch 4 in Orlando.

MIP is a death sentence to a career.

    Anybody but Lowry.

Probably either Lin or Ryan Anderson. If Lin keeps playing the way he is, the NBA will be dying to give him an award. Though, Anderson has become the player some thought he could be. Great shooter.

I hate to talk about the MIP, because as is the problem with this award (MIP), you have to take into consideration minutes played and overall usage rate. For example, Aaron Brooks was hailed by many and eventually won the MIP, but he simply played more minutes. His actual growth was much more regular than the award suggests.

I would hesitate to say Lin now. The only thing he really worked on was his jumpshot - which has improved drastically. This makes him a double threat - driving AND shooting. As seen in the Lakers game, being multidimensional offensively pays dividends.

However, he does deserve some kind of award for saving the Knicks and bringing NBA tons and tons of money. And since there is no "Most Influential Player" award, I'll give the MIP award to him. At least he has definitely improved on something.

IF lin keeps at least 90% of his pace for the rest of the season he'll be a shoe-in
