What the hell is going on out there? First, the Giants pick off a pass where the linebacker almost rips Chad Lewis' helmet off. Then, with the Giants in their own territory, Troy Vincent and Daryl Jones exchange in a couple of slight pushes. Apparently, this is enough to call ONLY Vincent for a 15 yard personal foul to put the Giants on the verge of field goal range. I've never seen two blatantly missed calls like this, much less on two plays in a row. Looks like the Saints season is over... way to go, refs.
Especially when I haven't done it since last June... Seriously, just watch the highlights. I know I don't like officials, but those last two calls were two of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. Now, to be fair, the bad officiating did go both ways... the Giants did have a touchdown in the fourth quarter called back because of a hold that didn't look serious at all. However, the Giants scored a TD on that drive anyway, so in the long run it didn't cost them a thing. I'm not claiming fix... it was a terribly officiated game all game long, both ways. The Giants were simply luckier in that the big call against them didn't really hurt them, and they got the calls in OT.
I don't know about you guys, but I seriously am beginning to like Shockey as a player. As a person, if I ever saw him I'd probably punch him, but as a player, I love that "come get me" attitude.
You told me they would win by 8 TD's, not by a choke job from the Eagles and a blown call from the refs.
I remember you flying off the handle in chat about a similar call during the Vikings-Seahawks game on September 29.
Huh? Sure, they lost, but I'm not "trying to hide my sadness". WTF is that? And what was this about "obsessed" a while back? You trying to do what the UT fans were accusing me of doing?
One post, is not an obsession, number one. Number two, I know Mississippi State is good, but I thought OU was supposed to be the best in the land or close to it. They sure haven't played that way so far. And the line fit. I do enjoy it when OU loses, at any of the major sports, that's part of my burnt orange showing through. But it's not like I would be crushed if you won today. I was just trying to lighten the mood, and help my fellow UT supporter out, and as I said, the line fit. Nothing personal, so calm down, man.

They sure played good against Princeton.... I was just trying to lighten the mood, and help my fellow UT supporter out, and as I said, the line fit. Nothing personal, so calm down, man. Did you think I was talking smack or something to Cat?....
I would agree with you that UT has struggled so far in hoops, but Princeton and their annoying style of play has made many good teams look bad over the years, and we haven't had the three point shooting like we had last year, but the potential is definitely there. I'm not interested into getting into a huge argument over this, as A) both teams are good B) Both teams have at least one loss they shouldn't have and C) Both teams still are strong favorites for the Final Four in March. Plus, I did say, the Saints cost themselves the playoffs by losing to the Bengals last week, and got Cat mad. The Giants outplayed Philly today, Barber's 4 fumbles were the only thing holding the Giants back, so in my opinion, Justice was served by them winning in OT on that front, and the New Orleans front, as teams who lose to the Bengals with their seasons on the line, do not deserve to be playoff teams in my opinion.
If NY Giants winning means the Saints are knocked out, Im all for it. Every since the Saints traded Ricky, Ive hated the Saints. I hope Deuce chokes on his own spit. That sounded mean. Oh well.
I know. If there's one positive to the Giants winning and the Saints probably out of the playoffs, it's that Green Bay could get homefield... then watch them blow it all too. Go Browns!!!!!!!!
The same refs made two horrible calls against the Giants for offensive holding, each time costing the Giants a touchdown. The Eagles got outplayed the entire game, and the officiating was pretty balanced for both sides. The Eagles got about 5 huge breaks in that game, yet could not capitalize. It's their fault for losing, not the refs'.
http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&postid=684371#post684371 I don't know what it is about you "The Cat", but you have an absolutely unreal ability to make bold claims only to be proven wrong or end up with your foot in your mouth. It's truly uncanny.
