Ok this biggest week of the year according to gamers is almost 2 weeks away so it's time we start a dedicated thread discussing all things E3. I would like to post some rumors... GEoW 2 and Resistance 2 will be playable. 360 Price drop - heard Microsoft will announce a $50 price reduction at E3 so the new price will be $299.99 Microsoft will debut My Gamerpad which is like their version of Home Also the 360 Wiimote clone annoucement I'll keep this updated as we go along. Can't Wait to some new games!!!
Is G4 or whatever that TV channel is covering E3? I guess I could look that up but you guys are my Google.
I saw some new SH5 gameplay videos today...but I don't know if you'd want to see them. I guess it isn't that bad, but it doesn't really give me a lot of hope for the game. I think so.
E3 = Electronic Entertainment Expo. Basically an annual event in the US where everyone shows off their games or gaming hardware. It has been getting a little smaller in recent years though IIRC. Don't know what you mean by it being expensive though. BTW, to add to the E3 rumors, I did read that God of War 3 might be making an appearance. That would be nice, but there are plenty of other games that I'm wanting to see. Guess we'll get another FF13 trailer, which is just an edited version of some trailer SE made years ago. Probably plenty of other rumors, but I don't really feel like paying much attention to them until it is closer to E3.
Nintendo is also supposed to announce several new titles catered to their "core audience." Maybe the new Zelda they've been working on? Kid Icarus? We will see.
Seriously! When the heck are they going to release some more stuff on that game? I'll probably plunk down the $$$ for a PS3 when it finally hits, although I should be RPG filled for at least a little while since my 3rd favorite series, Star Ocean, is going to hit the 360, as well as my 4th, the Tales series.
When PS3 sales surpass 20M systems. Actually, I think they said to expect a lot in 2008. Although it is halfway through the year, and still nothing new IIRC. I got to think they should be able to show something though. I'm guessing it should be out in 2009 sometime, meaning the game should be in a playable state at this point (or at least a lot of the cinematics should be done). Part of the problem is they need to stop promoting games long before they'll be released. Unless you're going to be like Kojima Productions and release 10+ minutes of video every 6 months or so, I'd rather just wait to find out about the game when it is only 12-16 months or so away.
Looking forward to nba2k8 for the early fall. After I kick everyones ass in that. I will get Resistance 2. Then finish the school year off with GOW 3 !!

Seems to go like this: Microsoft: 7/14 at 12:30 PM Nintendo: 7/15 at 11:00 AM Sony: 7/15 at 1:30 PM Those are for the central time zone...assuming I did my time zone conversion correctly. Figures that the one class I'll be taking during this time period seems to interfere with at least two of the conferences (Microsoft and Nintendo...barely make it to the start for Sony's).

I'm looking forward to more info and game footage of Resistance 2 and inFAMOUS. I'm also hoping to see some of Brutal Legend. Release dates on inFAMOUS and Brutal Legend would be nice. There's been no word, but I also am hoping for a teaser of God of War 3. I also think that Naughty Dog will launch a surprise by announcing a new Jak game.
