Many of you may remember i posted a thread a while back about this particular hip hop artist (E. Cov) and quite a few of you were giving some very good feedback on what he needed to work on and what you all liked about his music. Well, this is simply an update thread. Since the last time i've talked with you all, he has done 1 show (last weekend) and has 2 upcoming shows (one over Allstar Weekend with celebrities such as Ray J and others in attendance) the other show is on the 26th in New York, it's a showcase. He has finally set a time frame on his debut mixtape titled, "Steal of tha Draft," which will be dropped between July-August of this year. He's been getting radio time (from the internet radios) and may be going on tour in the coming months if all continues to run smoothly. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported him and everyone that will in the future. He takes this very serious and I know it's tough to take anyone on the internet serious when it comes to making music, since just about everyone wants to make music nowadays, but this is something that he really wants to do with his life and won't stop til he "makes it." Here's some footage from his show over last weekend, please check it out for me: <iframe title="YouTube video player" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kDaGrlPrRN8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Here's all the other necessary links to check out if you'd like to keep tabs on his career: http://www.youtube.com/user/ECovYouDug http://www.twitter.com/ECovYouDug http://www.facebook.com/YungCov http://www.westsidestoryy.com/search/label/E Cov I appreciate any and everyone who takes the time out to read through this thread, give his music a try, and leave feedback. Even if you check out his music and absolutely hate it, just supporting his music would really help out a lot. Me and him were talking a little while back about how it seems when someone is trying to live their dreams, it seems no one gives them the time of day, but hopefully you all will. I don't want to visit here to often and have a billion threads about him, so i'll probably drop a new thread every 3-6 months for those that would like to keep tabs on his career. If you'd like to contact me (gotta get my lil 5 seconds of fame haha) then hit me up on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/BornToGoBonkers
all that news is great but you just posted 9 minutes of your friend walking around LA acting like he was being followed by the paprazzi edit: I want those 9 minutes back
Haha aye, i didn't force you to watch that video. Besides, the reason for looking at it was to show you that he's serious about this and that he's not just talkin the talk without walkin the walk. The actual performance footage is gonna come at a later date, though. So stay tuned. Oh and nah, i'm just a childhood friend, bruh.
no you didn't. you asked me to check it out, and you even said "please" how do you think any of that amateur footage comes off to an industry professional? filming the local drunk at the Gower Gulch Denny's just doesn't scream "serious hip hop artist" to me. walking around Downtown LA into a Jazz Lounge with a B Rating while talking on the cell phone, creating unnecessary hype, is not the way to go about it either. honestly, you are trying way too hard to publicize your friend (brother?)
not sure the reason this video was posted rather than his performance. hope he makes it nonetheless. at least he's doing something that he's passionate about. song you posted in the original thread was actually pretty good (thought the weird synthesizer sound at 1:21 could have been left out) and kinda different. slow pace is what made it. new songs on his youtube page sound just like everything else on the radio. the radio doesn't need more of everything else. imo anyway. i'm just some dude on msg board.
Wow, the way he talked on his cellphone and posed for pictures for his friends....clearly he's a game-changer. I, for one, can't wait to see the performance video. I'm sure it will totally revolutionize the entire rap genre and give us something we've never seen or heard before....
No i didn't, what? lol.. Thanks for all the feedback, yall. Negative/Positive feedback is all welcomed and thanked.
no you didn't.... force me to watch the video. I am saying that I spent 9 patient minutes waiting for a breakout performance because you politely asked the members here to check it out. I was severely disappointed. that's all. it didn't look very professional to basically show your boy pretending to be a big Hollywood Celebrity .... when he's not. it's great that he is getting showcases and has a manager helping to craft his career and image... good luck to your boy E. Cov, he's really doing it.
Oh ok, yeah, ionno why he didn't have the actual performance in the video, i was wondering as well. I think he's dropping it at a later date, but i'm not sure. I appreciate you taking time outta ya day to check the video out, bro. Respect.
