When: August 16, 7:30 PM Where: Robertson Stadium, Houston, TX Television: Channel 55 (English), Channel 43 (Spanish) Radio: 790 AM (English), 850 AM (Spanish) The Dynamo (6-4-8, 26 points) return to action for the first time since the SuperLiga loss to New England. But, that's nothing compared to Real Salt Lake (7-6-6, 27 points) who have not played since July 28. This is the battle for first place in the Western Conference and the Dynamo can take control of the conference for the first time this season if I'm correct. The Orange really hit their stride during SuperLiga and I hope that we've fully integrated Nate Jaqua and Kei Kamara in that time. So let the games begin!
The Dynamo have a great chance to take first and keep it when you look at their schedule. A bunch of home games should give them an opportunity to open up a sizable lead in the West. GO DYNAMO!
Final Score: Dynamo 4 Real 3 What a game! The first half was completely open with the Dynamo leading 4-2 going into the half. Real scored again, but it's hard to get 4 goals in a match and the Dynamo deserved to win. I was impressed with Kei Kamara's runs and the Dynamo missed some easy shots, namely De Rosario hitting the post, Nate Jaqua missing a step in the box, and Brian Ching shooting over the far after Kamara's great pass. The win moves the Dynamo into sole possession of first place in the Western Conference, two points ahead of Real Salt Lake and four ahead of FC Dallas.
