When: Wednesday, 7:30 PM Where: Robertson Stadium, Houston, TX Television: ESPN2, ESPNDeportes Radio: 790 AM (English), 850 AM (Spanish) This is a huge match for the Dynamo (6-2-3) who are riding a three-game win streak in the midst of an eight-game unbeaten streak. They're 6 points behind Western Conference leader... Chivas USA (8-2-3). A win at home would put us much closer to taking the reigns in the Western Conference. Dr. Ludicrous: will Ricardo Clark be back from National Team duties? Will you be at the game? This is a huge one and the atmosphere will be great at the Rob for national television.
Crap, I was hoping since I couldn't make it out for this game, I didn't even realize it would be on cable.
Final Score: Dynamo 1 Chivas USA 0 Really defensive game. The ESPN2 crew said that the first team to score would probably win and that would be the case. Pat Onstad and Zach Thornton are the two best keepers in MLS at the moment and Pat Onstad got his 7th shutout tonight. Stuart Holden was a monster and I liked how we played without Ricardo Clark and Brian Ching.
Considering the players both teams were missing (Clark, Ching, and Robinson for the Dynamo...Bornstein & Klaasjdfhakljsdten for Chivas), I believe the Dynamo proved who the best team in the MLS is right now. Nice debut 24 hours after being traded by Cam Weaver. Looks like he was a very nice pick up. Dynamo win Astros beat the cubs in the bottom of the night Trinidad and Mexico tied at the half. Could be an outstanding night if Trinidad holds on or wins...
Holden has been playing great during our current run. He started shaky at the start of the year while getting used to his role and dealing with the death of his father, but he's really taken over the central midfield spot. I really hope we can hang on to him this offseason.
