The Dynamo take on the Charleston Battery tonight in the US Open Cup, if we win we'll play Dallas in the next round. We'll probably be using mostly reserve players for this game due to our schedule, hopefully they can pull out the win.

How does our reserve team compare to a USL team? or is it still the A-League?

I'd say they are pretty close but we'll probably have a couple of guys that are obviously better like Wondo, Wells, and Ashe. Dalglish is also supposed to start tonight and we may have another player or two that gets time with the first team.

Last night Dallas played their starters against a USL team from Atlanta and had to go to penalties to win.

Lost 1-0 on a 106th minute penalty. I guess if hte scheduling would have worked out better, they would have sent a better team. I guess they can concentrate on the Super Liga and defending the title. A US Cup would have been nice, though...

We got outplayed pretty badly, Zach Wells had a huge game and is the only reason the score was close. There were at least 7 times he had to run out and smother a ball before one of their forwards ran onto it. And he actually stopped the penalty but the shooter put the rebound in.

It sucks that we're out, but when you have 5 games in 10 days you can't really try to win them all.
