Houston will be playing in Mexico City tonight against UNAM Pumas, both teams will probably be using a lot of bench players. Ching and Davis didn't even make the trip for Houston.
It was on FSC and telefutura. Going into Mexico City and coming away with a point (while sitting a handful of starters) is huge. In 14 games in Mexico between MLS and Mexican teams this is the first one that didn't result in a loss. And our second goal was probably one of the prettiest ones we've ever scored, from Cameron fighting through two defenders to Ashe's layoff to Kamara's blast.
I was thinking of going to this game, wearing my Dynamo t-shirt ( I want a jersey!!!) but I didnt go, because I would be kicked and punched in that stadium if I wear Dynamo gear, because in that stadium, the fans are very aggresive with the other team fans, especially if they lose, but they can still be agressive at the beginning of the game.
When we found out we'd be playing Pumas one of the fans here asked a Mexican Dynamo fan if it'd be a good idea to go to the game, he started giving a pretty non-committal response about it so I asked if he'd personally go to the game to which he immediately said "no way".
YESSS!!!!! I can brag to my brother now, a die-hard Puma fan, that we pulled out an upset. These dudes booed Blanco...
Yep, if it was another team (America, Cruz Azul, etc), maybe I would consider, but with Pumas, you are in extreme danger.
