The playoffs are here and we'll be starting on the road with the second leg the following weekend. We haven't done well on turf in the past, if we can come out of the game with no more than a goal difference we'll be in good shape. Hopefully we can get a win though. I believe everybody should be available for this game. New York had their starting goalie and a defender suspended for using a performance enhancing drug. Also, 1560 AM will have a one hour show dedicated to the upcoming game tonight at 7PM.
The two worst played games I've seen from the Dynamo occurred in New York. Hopefully with this being the playoffs they are able to show up and pull out a result.
^ I'd have never agreed with you more than now, sir. ¡DALE DALE! ¡DALE DALE DALE! ¡YO LE VOY AL NARANJA!
From my understanding dale means "give it" as in give it your all. The other is "I go for the orange". My Spanish ain't so good since I quite doing drugs so SwoLy-D may need to correct me.
I'll actually be in NJ/NY this weekend...Not sure if I can make the game though...I'll be going to see the Cowboys get slaughtered by the Giants on Sunday...
You quite drugs? Well, what, exactly? That is 99% correct, DrLudicrous. I usually say "dale" around work just to say "go for it" or "do it." It's roughly what YOU said. WORD = translates to, but really means DALE = give [it], "Give them [hell] / Do it [well]" YO LE VOY AL NARANJA = I go to the orange, "I root for the Orange [jersey] / I am for the Orange [team]" Have you ever been to a Dynamo game, Mr. msn? I will invite you so you can chant this along with me, as long as you NEVER say they suck. Are we expected to be in full strength, or no? I know we were resting some players the last few games I've missed, but didn't see us at full strength.
I'll be at the game, if you make it look for the group of guys in orange (there should be 10-15 of us) and come by. My English ain't so good since I quit drugs either.
Sincerely, All I could think about was ^ that when I read your post, and then I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this.
Here's where that quote is from. http://br.truveo.com/Matt-Foley-Bilingual-Motivational-Spea/id/535644914
Not in good ol' H-town enough. Also, I have a hard time with fútbol. Not that I dislike it; I have a hard time following it and don't understand the plays. Just don't have time to watch it long enough to learn it. Two championships in two years? They don't suck. Thanks for the Spanish.
Should be an excellent game. I went to the game in Houston against New York; I think it was Jozy Altidore's last game in MLS. We absolutely dominated and I don't feel that they'll be able to stop us. That's not to say that I don't think that we'll have trouble on the artificial turf. But when the series heads back to Houston, we'll dominate. I say Dynamo advance 5-2 on aggregate.
They're apparently playing right now in El Salvador with a completely reserve team. It's on FSC and they're up 1-0 in the 1st.
Also can someone explain this stage...I always get confused by this CONCACAF thing...I read Houston needs a draw for the chance for survival? So are they on the brink of elimination? Will a win do anything better than a draw?
A win might affect who they play in the next round. I'm not sure if it's a random draw as the UEFA Champions League is.
Well, drive over to Robertson. Any time someone gives this reason for not watching it, I say: "Just go to ONE Dynamo game. ONE." I tried it with a coworker and he's been turned a football fan now. He comes to work asking me: "Did you see how the Dynamo made that last-second goal in stoppage time ?!?! OMG! Dude, Holden is a stud!" I'm all " Thanks, freaker, I DVR'd it." Two years ago, my little cousins hated the game. I took them to a Dynamo game and turned them lovers of the world-favorite sport. It only takes ONE Dynamo game, brother. ONE GAME. Come to the 2nd leg home game. You won't regret it.
