Last season, Real Salt Lake was the eighth and final seed in the MLS playoffs but went on to their first ever MLS Championship; Houston finished atop the West. This is Houston's home opening game.

    ¡VAMOS, DYNAMO!!! ¡Dale, dale!!!!

Down goes Ching. Looks like he tweaked something in his left leg.

Couldn't do anything right in that first half. We played decent defense after the RSL goal, but everything else was sub-par to bad (inaccurate passing, no good shots on goal, etc.).

Wow, two straight fouls in the box by RSL. Now were up 2-1.

Landin really sold that penalty. Amazing they just went from being down 0-1 to up 2-1 in like a minute

Good win for the Orange over the defending champs.

I just realized that between the only two pro sports teams in Utah, Real Salt Lake has won more championships than the Jazz.

That guy jumping on Boswell at the end was pretty funny, and then he was complaining about the card

He didn't just jump on him, he pretty much had Boswell in a headlock.

That guy should get a red card. Ironically, Boswell did not seem to do anything wrong, but got handed a yellow.

Overall, it was the superb offense that overshadowed our good defense. Looks like Saborío made a difference but I don't know what really happened with Boswell on their score. We were totally exposed on the attack with Oduro as a single attacking forward once Ching went out... but Landin isn't exactly the better or faster forward, but he came in to set some better attacking schemes. He looked like he was about to pass out midway through the second half.

Maybe I would have preferred for us to score on a play rather than penalty kicks, but I am happy with this win.

I missed both scores while standing in line to get my kids some food at the concession stand. "Oh, it's just the beginning of halftime." :(
I was thinking about this when the second penalty shot went in the back of the net.

I saw the last 20 mins of the game, played good, and that guy from the salt lake who tackled the dynamo, should got a red card and a suspension.

No doubt, he put Davis (if I remember correctly) in a running chokehold and took him to the ground! I would have been a lot angrier had we not won...just another reason to hate everything about MF Utah.

It was Bobby Boswell, Davis had been subbed in for by that point

 I just noticed... if the Rockets win against the JazzHoles... it will be a nice sweep! ;)
