The teams with the top two records face off today, if Houston wants a shot at the Supporter's Shield they have to win today since Columbus is just one point behind with two games in hand. Kei Kamara is out with a quad strain so Landin is likely to get his first start. Eddie Robinson and Cam Weaver have both returned to full practice but aren't expected to play today. The game is on 11.2, Channel 43, and FSH locally.
Very excited about this, especially after how bad the Texans have been today. FC Dallas did us a favor last night when they beat Los Angeles 6-3, since that kept the Galaxy out of first place. We desperately need this win since the whole Western Conference is packed so tightly. We can't afford to get one point, or none at all, today.
Nice looking goal. The Dynamo have had plenty of chances since I've been watching. Other than a few quick transition plays, it's been all Dynamo.
The end of the game kind of sucked, but we at least looked better than we have been and outplayed them for large parts of the game. And Weaver delivers once again, at this point I think he should be the starter with Ching. Dom could use Weaver and Kamara as starters for CCL games and Ching and Landin for MLS games to keep everybody rested.
So freaking true. And we had so many chances too, although I can't really say the PK was the wrong call, cause it looked bad. The call on Clark however, seemed BS although I didn't get a good look at it. I agree, it will help ease the strain of playing our starters and give Landin time to get used to the MLS rules, since the playoffs are right around the corner.
Looks like Kei could be gone pretty soon. http://blogs.chron.com/soccer/archives/2009/09/shoker_dynamo_l.html
