When: May 28, 7:30 PM Where: Pizza Hut Park, Frisco, TX Television: Channel 55 (English), Channel 43 (Spanish) Radio: 790 AM (English), 850 Am (Spanish) After last week's embarrassing 2-1 defeat to San Jose, the Dynamo look to beat Western Conference rival FC Dallas. The Orange sit 4 points behind first place Los Angeles with 10 points and FC Dallas has 12, so this is an important game for both teams. Will our forwards show up this week? I, for one, am very concerned. Brian Ching looks like he has lost a step ever since the injury last year against Kansas City in the Western Conference Final and Franco Caraccio still does not appear to have a handle on anything beyond one-touch soccer. Will you watch? What are your thoughts?
Embarrassing is an understatement. There is no excuse for a team of the Dynamo's stature to lose games like that. That said, a win at dallas would be a nice cure-all. They have got to get their s*** together. Luckily, the rest of the West is keeping the Dynamo in the race.
Yeah, he's sporting it. Watching this game, and others, I've noticed something about Pizza Hut Park; it's empty a lot of the time. This is something to be said about the upcoming Dynamo stadium and that is, "location, location, location." We're lucky to have the Dynamo playing in a central location at Robertson and we'll be luckier when they play east of downtown. FC Dallas' location in the suburb of Frisco is terrible. The town is too far removed from central Dallas to consistently draw large crowds, even though the team is never terrible.
Lol...Robinson pushed that Dallas guy down and he stayed down like he got punched in the face. Oh soccer. And F dallas.
Meant to post this after the game last night, but I forgot and I don't want to post it in the the upcoming thread for this weekend's game: Watching the struggles that we've had up front and in the midfield, I think the Dynamo need to seriously look at a Designated Player. Brian Ching seems to have lost a step and Caraccio is not fitting in as much as we had hoped. If we were to bring a quality, star forward from either Mexico or South America I think it would greatly help our fortunes on and off the field. Granted, the DP rule can not work out for a team, point in case Denílson for FCD and potentially Marcello Gallardo in DC. However, if the impacts of David Beckham, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, and Juan Pablo Angel are any indication, if a DP is well-researched, they can boost performance and exposure for the team.
Let me tell you something man, you are so wrong. The location is not a problem at all. I've heard so many excuses here in Dallas about the location but I can assure you that if teams that the hispanic population are interested in come to PHP to play, that segment of the population will find their way to the stadium in DROVES. I'll give you the latest example; last saturday was an FCD match against Real Salt Lake, FCD had an attendance of 8,960. The next day was a match between the old stars of Chivas and Club America and the stadium was as full to capacity as it was when Becks and the Galaxy showed up in Frisco. FOR AN OLD-TIMERS MATCH!!! It bordered on ridiculous. Something must be missing between those fans and the product FCD is puttiing out, or the marketing tactics the FCD FO is selling to those fans.
No way he's ending up in Houston. I don't remember who owns his rights, maybe Columbus, but I know Chicago are definitely in the mix to get McBride, especially with the windy city being his hometown.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I'd noticed it was full during the Beckham game, but I attributed that to his drawing power. That statement came from only seeing action during FC Dallas games.
