When: Saturday May 17, 7:30 PM
    Where: Toyota Park, Bridgeview, Illinois
Television: Channel 55 (English), Channel 43 (Español)
Radio: 790 AM (English), 850 AM (Español)

The Fire, lead by Cuauhtémoc Blanco, have the second best record in MLS at 5-1-1. The Dynamo, 1-2-4, are coming off of their first win and I'm looking for this to be a statement game. Hopefully Brian Ching and Dwayne De Rosario got the pressure of not scoring off of their backs last week and can do something great again. Cuauhtémoc Blanco, along with David Beckham, is one of the two biggest personalities in MLS and if you want to see somebody who brings character to a match, for better or for worse, check out the game this Saturday.

What are your thoughts? Will you watch, seeing as the game will be accessible locally on Channels 55 and 43? What do the Dynamo need to do to win in your opinion?

    Final Score:
    Dynamo 2 , Chicago 1

Great win for the Orange! Chicago is an excellent defensive team and we caught some lucky breaks tonight (especially Ricardo Clark's goal bouncing around). Blanco's complaining can get very old and thankfully, the referee gave him a yellow card before the final free kick of the game.

Any thoughts? Is this the start of something good for the Dynamo, just like last season? Charlie Palillo mentioned at the end of the broadcast that the Dynamo actually have a better record and more points right now than they did at this point last season and we all know what happened last year...

Early game this upcoming Thursday on national television (ESPN2).

I think the early season rugged international tournament play and resulting injuries slowed us down.

I think we are gonna assume our rightful place as a top contender for another MLS Cup.

The Dynamo have played well for most of the season. Even when they weren't winning, they played great soccer. I don't think there's much to worry about. This is still one of the best teams in the league.

This is a good point, the only game we've really been outplayed so far during the MLS season is the opener against New England. Other than that we've dominated games but haven't gotten the results.

I agree that the Dynamo have played well in spite of their record, but I am officially concerned with the situation at forward. Ching is a step slower, and Caraccio is very talented but totally out of sync with the rest of the team.

Teams seem to be going after Mulrooney. Is he that much of an improvement over Waibel? I know Waibel was injured earlier this year and that Mulrooney got the job done against Chicago, but it was not without a few scary moments. At least Boswell seems to be settling in on the backline. I think Ianni is going to be on the bench for awhile. Just too slow to react right now.

All those concerns aside... No idea how close the Dynamo are to bringing back Ngwenya, but I daresay that if they do find a way to put him back in orange that this squad will be on its way to a third mambo-nifico championship.
