on the verge of tears ....this is truly inspirational, it makes you appreciate your life, friends and family more. good post
beautiful. Matthew 18:3 And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."
I think he is a nine year old boy who has only a few days left due to leukemia. His last wish is to feed people living in homeless shelters. Then he wants to become an angel so he can help people.
I first heard about this on CNN Headlines News. Robin Meade was talking about it. After the story you could clearly see she was having trouble holding back the tears. After that she was gone from the show for a bit. I don't know if her time slot was up or she couldn't continue anymore.
My sister is a social worker who specializes in pediatric oncology - those are some of the best kids she's ever met. She tells me all sorts of amazing stories about some of them and they will just blow you away.
Your sister is a hero, watching children die is one of the hardest things a person can do.....and it shakes your foundation of religious beliefs to the core. My wife worked in a similar field and it used to devestate her when one of her kids would die.....very heart wrenching. DD
my father and I shared many things but a love of sports wasn't one of them. however now being a father to 2 kids including a 5year boy has allowed me to have father-son memories watching sports next rockets game my son and I will sit a little closer to each other; and the outcome will mean a little less than the memories we create... to those who are lucky enough to be parents .. go hug your kids...
Next time, warn a brother with necessity of tear-wiping objects... ... Great story. I don't ever want to say "I didn't even [insert life-changing or life-improving event here] with my daughters" in the future. I am glad to hear that a simple "You taught me how to tie my shoes, dad" makes them happy. I love my two girls and always will.
Just makes you realize how lucky u really are and makes all the our little problems seem very silly...very inspirational story...brave kid...
I had volunteered to contribute to an Advent devotional and had been searching for a topic. A tribute to this young man would seem to be fitting. Anyone want to recommend a scripture verse to correspond?
"I had a great time." Pretty powerful words for a 11 year old kid. One day, we'll beat this b*stard cancer.
