Bynum is off to the best start (and 3-game stretch) of his career.

22.7ppg, 17rpg, 2bpg, 62%fg on just 32 minutes per game (and he's still relatively out of game shape).

The guy looks tremendous offensively (compared to the competition at that position). Howard is regressing offensively once again to start the year, probably attributed to his trade rumors and that he is the #1 option on his team.

Obviously Howard is still the better player. But Bynum is taking that step, and he IS the Lakers' best player so far this season. If he continues to progress, it'll be an interesting battle for the best center in the West in the future.

My bad, I mean the league. Notice I said relatively to the competition at the C position, which notes how poor the era is for big men.

Still would take Howard over Bynum in a heartbeat... But I wouldnt trade Gasol and Bynum to get him...

It's certainly not a question of talent with Bynum. But he's missed an average of 27 games each year. Dwight's missed eight in seven years. Durability is part of what makes him elite, and it's going to be the key to Bynum's success.

Its only been 4 games... If he can average 20/10 , I'd be surprised... Sure he's more than capable...But will he is the question

From the context of an Orlando/LAL situation, ORL can't wait a year to find out. Bynum is the best player available to trade

I don't think anyone ever doubted his skills, the problem is that he is injury prone.

he usually plays well and then goes out with a serius injury. then he comes back and plays at much lower level. Andrew has been solid but he has done nothing not to think he won't get injured again

I agree. Bynum, injury prone and all, is most likely the best player Orlando can get when the time to surrender comes. On the other side, Jerry Buss could end up like the fool who refused to send Bynum -without Gasol- for Howard, no matter whatever monstrous season Bynum might be having at said time.

Bynum's post moves are much more fluid this year. If he continues playing close to the level he's played so far, he's a better player than Dwight Howard.

Unfortunately, for the Lakers, that's not very likely...and he'll probably get hurt again.

    Lol.

Clearly the NBA is trying hard to get Bynum his touches so that the Lakers can swap Bynum for Howard, aka the NBA is a joke.

While I've grown to dislike him, I have touted Bynum's potential since his 2nd season. His production so far doesn't surprise me at all. What we don't know yet is can he continue it the whole year if injuries don't derail him. I doubt it but Bynum is still a dominant post player when he's focused, energetic and plays with confidence.

I'll take what Howard has proven over the last 3 years, than what Bynum has shown over 3 games.

Yes, he's been incredible at standing directly under the hole and reaching his hand up and dropping Kobe's misses through.

    Give me a break.
