    Hey Crew

I have been reading through alot that has been written on this season and i see one glaring difference between our offence last year and our offense this year.
Last year and call me out if im wrong, we played an extremely up tempo game however our set pieces nearly always went inside out.

Now for me this has two effects firstly dmo or dwight would get the ball low and often get a rotation. It may not have been a double team but it was an extra person sagging or drifting in. This gave our shooters a fraction more time for a shot but more importantly he generated additional ball movement with swings to the weak side etc.

Secondly it also rewarded your big men for the efforts they made to get down the floor and the defensive end. Now its fine to say dwight is crap in the post or whatever but sport is primarily a mental game. Everyone at the top level is gifted athletically so keeping your players focused is the most important thing. By removing dwight totally from the offense after having him be a key part would be damaging whether he is a professional or not. Human nature doesnt taken rejection well. It also says we dont have the confidence in you.

So i guess im just after peoples opinions as to whether im not seeing it right etc. And whether that negative energy could be a reason for lack of team chemistry

He needs to make hard picks and hard rolls to the basket. No post up's unless he gets hot.

For combined Post-ups and Paint position, Howard gets the 2nd most touches per game in the NBA, next to Drummond.

    That's a fact.

Another fact, guys who he should now strive to be like on offense -- Jordan and Whiteside -- get the same or less FGAs per game. If you eliminate Whiteside's shots beyond 10 feet (of which Jordan and Dwight have zero), then its even more similar.

That's right: DeAndre Jordan gets significantly less FGAs than Dwight -- 5.7 to Dwight's 8.2. So he converts 70% to Dwight's 58%. Stop clinging to the idea that Dwight can do more than Jordan and Whiteside on offense.

Dwight sucks at post ups, everyone knowledgeable knows this by now, someone should tell Clyde though.

Good points i didnt know @heypartner but my point is not so much dwight getting post up action more that we dont go inside out i guess.

I think that is more because Dmo was out, and we don't really have any other players that are a threat to work inside out. With Dmo back and getting into shape, I would imagine we start working inside out more often.

A very simple inside out play is to set up the PnR with Dwight, then as he rolls to the basket and the D stacks up, throw the ball to the corner or arc, let Dwight sit down into a real low post-up right at the rim, and ping-pong the ball straight down to him where he can go straight up and finish. That's the kind of post-up action we should work on with Dwight. Quick hitting post-ups where he gets low against a single defender, essentially or basically sealing them and we immediately fire the ball to him.

Roleplayers doing something wrong doesn't affect team's morale and whatever is wrong this season. It's either Dwight or Harden who are to blame for this season and broken spirit. I bet on Harden. If your best player doesn't give a **** about defense or trying, why should others?

Dwight Howard has one of the worst post up games I've ever seen. That's not hating its the truth and that is why he doesnt get the ball he needs to stop whining and set some real freakin picks. When people try to give him the ball he can barely catch the pass. I am starting to understand what Kobe meant. Just set a pick and get the rebound Dwight play some D because he is awful at everything else. He's not even playing defense this year unless its against the lakers. I always kinda hated Kobe and he is admittedly a douche so I always saw him as bullying Dwight. Dwight has had the opportunity to prove everyone wrong and has not. He depends on Harden to do everything and pouts about fouls, touches blah blah blah. He's a big baby and he's starting to lose me as a fan.

Dwight Howard is still a beast of a player and he'll put up 20-20 for the next couple of games
