    a simple thread......(I think)
Who else is out there in FA that would benefit this team( skill and money wise)?

    •HARDEN- SG Is set
•PARSONS- (his play and his contract) SF SET
•D-mo/ TRob-( screaming potential and both good contracts) PF
    looking set
•Jermy Lin- don't get me wrong, I like the guy. But Chris Paul is a drastic upgrade.( I know unlikely.......)
•Omer Asik- this guy is THE MAN! Dude works hard. Nothing but positive things when it comes to his work ethic. Talent wise( overall) dwight is the better natural born player( if only he had the drive Asik has)

so who do the Rockets spend all their extra money on? Who is worth moving somebody else down in rotation or even out of town? I can only come up with Dwight or Paul.

And I know some are saying wait for lebron, but I don't think he is taking his talents anywhere else. Is there somebody else to wait for if we don't get dwight or Paul. If there is, don't be rude(a**hole) just explain your case Or the position I thought set explain why not.

Chris Paul easily. Point Guard is our biggest need.

care to explain why PG is the biggest need?

IMO our biggest need is defense, deep bench and a good coach...

Paul a drastic upgrade for Lini? Are you going to get Griffin too?

Is Paul going to camp in the corner like Lin does? If not, then there is no comparison. Paul got bad days too. 2 for 8, 3 for 10 is not uncommon for Paul. Except, when he did it, no one bought it yet, but when Lin did it, Lin is scrub.

Yes, Yes, Yes, Paul is proven. But Lin isn't so bad, consider he is only a 2nd year guard.

And one thing everyone under estimate is the team chemistry. They just look at each player's individual status and add up the score and think it works. If it works, then why is the Lakers fighting so hard to get into the playoff.

Lin's scrub. PG position is our biggest weakness. We need to get CP3 to contend.

Paul will never come to Houston...Clippers could win in all this year...Why would he consider jumpung to an 8th seeds team next year..It just doesnt make sense..

We need an impactful defensive big man. I think that makes the difference for this squad. Oh, and someone who can be the roll man in the PnR, but I think Dmo can develop into that. :D

If there was a position that was weaker than all the other positions, it would be PG.

But Lin is good enough, imo.

Paul may control the game better or average more ASTS and PTS, but he DOES have Griffin and Jordan to throw it too, all day.

Lin could throw it to Harden, but passes are mostly on the outside, where if Harden scores in an iso situation, Lin isn't credited for the AST.

Not to mention, the Clips bench is deeper than ours. Crawford, Odom and Barnes could easily start on most teams in the league.

just keep the team as is with some possible bench upgrades. I'd like the new core of our 5-6 players to develop more chemistry and see how they do. I really believe we may have that legit 2nd star (or more) on the team (pick one of Parsons, Lin, DMO, TRob, Jones).

Otherwise its looking like Dwight, Smith or (barf) Gasol are the 'best' options and they would have to agree to lesser deals to sign with Houston.

Why don't we 'risk' growing with this core for 2013-2014 then make a play the following season/off season to add the second superstar if none of our guys develop as we think they can. At some point, morey has to quit trading and allow the young guns to grow as a team.

Our biggest weakness is the 4. I'd rather have Paul then Howard though. Asik is plenty good and isn't a b**** like Howard.

Paul is obv the best player of the two but you will not win big with your best two players at point and shooting g. Both are best with ball in their hands and having them two as our best two players would limit each in a way.

Chris Paul, obviously. He'll make Asik look like Shaq. Our team will be top 3 in the west with him.

honestly stuff like this is annoying...I am not saying he will. He may love his teamates and would have to take a cut in salary to come...not likely ...but it is possible.

Harden is his friend and we have what looks like one of the best gm/owner combos in the game. Morey is showing stars if you come here I can put the pieces around you to make it work for cheap (2nd round picks , overseas free agents, underated free agents).

If I am CP3 or Howard or...both. I am thinking if I want to start the next elite team and try and compete with miami. The only option is houston.

Blake, cp3 ...jordan or butler or crawford???? half retired kobe/nash???

Or James harden, 800k salary parsons, tons of young cheap talent. If lebron wade, and bosh would take pay cuts to form the big 3....why wont cp3 and howard?

Everyone said lebron and wade wouldnt take cuts either and that heat was a long shot at best...and they did.

Because when it comes down to it...the idea of multiple championships and playing with elite talent won them over.

    CP3/Harden/Howard

I think, a long shot, but definitely possible.

    Lol. you serious?

If any rockets can do alloy lop like Tyson Chandler, then Linsanity will happens in Houston. But it will never happen. McHale does not believe in PnR.

Of course Paul but he's a ball dominate player like Harden. The same thing will happen to him as it did to Lin. His game will be have to be limited and not used to his full potential game in and game out.
