:mad:If we dont make serious adjustments this offseason, I dont see why he doesnt opt out next offseason. He only came here to win a ring, doesnt seem likely

    Howard gone.

This team really doesn't fit him. Great player, but he had to pretty much give up playing offense to "fit" on this team. That's a red flag. We're playing $20 mil for an older DJ.
No knock on Dwight. He'd be better on the Warriors. Hell, maybe he opts out and takes a discount to join the Cavaliers, maybe the Warriors.

That being said, that's $20 mil he probably won't get next season. Maybe he opts in for the money. Either way our front office has a lot of work to do.

I feel bad for him. Dude has been as explosive as ever and is surrounded by a bunch of doo doo heads and stupid front office.

Wouldn't him opting out be a good thing?

might not be the worst thing. i like dwight, but he is clearly past his prime and too much of a liability at the FT line. If we could get few decent big men instead of him, hey why not.

He has been explosive this postseason...easily our best player.

Lol to everyone who wants Dwight to walk. He's a playoff performer unlike Harden. Dwight is the best player on this team in April and May the last two years and y'all want him gone? SMH

yeah, we need to give him a better chance to win. And we can't afford to rest him half of the season. Let Smith go. Brewer is fine to keep.

Develop Capela, DMo and get a true PG. Maybe trade TJones around the Feb deadline if we can get a good offer.

Player option. It's not our choice.

I really hope our management and front office take this series to heart. Time and time again we have heard about protecting "flexibility" for the future of our roster. We lost out in the the summer of 2014 and in my opinion also failed to address the pg issue at the deadline. For what??? To secure flexibility!!! I know we got smith and brewer but as you can see they have been outplayed by the bench of LA. If we aren't careful Dwight will walk and James Harden will bolt as well. We are in a win now mode, screw flexibility

He'll opt in like every other star with a player option. Why? Because the cap is projected to spike the year after.
