Dwight Howard has obviously been showing signs he's been training with Hakeem. He hit a mid range jumper in det last night. I think it's cool the confidence he's had and improvements. Little by little your seeing better post moves. People say oh he scored like that in Orlando true except his techniques and moves are a lot smoother and he's hitting jumpers n making free throws here of late. I wonder if in a year and two he will devolp a mid range game. I'm just glad he's working on everything and glad rockets seem to be open in expanding it where on other teams they just wanted him to be shaq.

No, buddy. No one will ever be like Hakeem.:)

No player has his footwork and creativity in the post. Hakeem could put the ball on the floor from nearly the 3-point line and create his own shot, even off the dribble.

It would take Dwight years to get there, whereas Hakeem was using those moves much earlier on.

As much as I like Dwight's effort this year, I'd take a 27 year old Hakeem over him any day of the week.

He will never have the fluidity, creativity and shooting ability of Hakeem. Not even close.

This thread might as well be locked. Most of the posts are going to be "no he will not end up like Hakeem," and variants akin to that.

Howard is great and I'm thrilled that he is on the Rockets, but no he can't be Dream. Just go back and watch some old Dream clips, he was absolutely amazing.

Just wanted him to be Shaq? Do you have any idea at all how dominant Shaq was? I love Howard , he's the best center in the league, but he's not quite Shaq standard.
Forget about Dream, Howard don't even have post moves and footwork like Shaq.

I like what he has been doing recently, but don't do this. There has not been a single player before or after Hakeem that could do what he did...at any size. He was completely unique. One of a kind. There will never be another player like him. Size, strength, speed, quickness, agility, timing, footwork, work ethic, inside game, outside game, offense, defense, shot blocking, steals...he was truly a dream.

He is not close to Hakeem - he is very good, but Hakeem was special.

I don't think people get it. I don't literally like Hakeem. I meant considering Hakeem is training him he will end up being the next Hakeem, but obviously dwight won't be Hakeem every player is there own. I ment shaq as in being a brute physical force. I'm not doubting shawls footwork but anyone with half a brain. Would realize if shaq wsent that big and strong he wouldn't be as successful if at all. It was a figure of do each I hate when people on the forum can't understand that. :/

That training with Hakeem seems to be paying off though. His post moves are looking better every game.

That's a lie. Like I said he will not be like Hakeem, I was figuratively speaking. Second off howard can. Anyone can he can increase his skills But the main thing howard lacks confidence
