Lakers are worried to give up bynum but that leaves themwith them only receiving Dwight. Thinning out an aging team and gaining salary. Dont know how credible his sources are but if Rockets trade for 5th and 8th while giving up lowry 14 and 16 + dalembert. We lower the payroll even more so if we get the 18th for kmart. Bro ive been on here for like 7 years and hold rockets season tickets. Im not going to bs you. It makes since... lakers cut salary and get a slight downgrade but an 18th pick in this draft could land a good pg in this draft. By them trading for dwight they would probablu give up bynum plus 2 future firsts. This way they save money with scola. Get a draft pick and improve at center. And magic is in rebuild mode.. i think they would prefer 2 top 10 picls and a highly talented sf. Camby dwight gasol is best class of bigs in the whole league. Plus having lee wallace and parsons to guard lebron kobe wade etc. I would wet my pants like 11 times a day

Math doesn't work. If the Rockets take on BOTH Gasol AND Bynum's salary, while trading away Martin, Lowry, Scola, Dalembert, Morris and their draft picks, they would not have any meaningful cap room.

Not with the cap holds of Lee and Dragic, which must be maintained if you hope to sign them back or the actual salary that you have to pay these two. In any case, with the cap holds the Rockets will be $6.9 million under the projected cap with 9 players. Adding roster charges for 3 empty spots and the "cap room" is around $5.5 million, which is barely above what the MLE is. Thus, the cap room is meaningless.
You never know, a player like ray ray would b incredible 6th man. May sign for 4-5 mil. Pull in some vets. Not sure whos out there in fa this year outside a few people

With turks contract this team has a few years til true contention. Maybe lakers and us give future firsts. They need to blow up the team and rebuild.
What I've been saying. 3 way for freaking Bynum. We need to be the houston facilitators and somehow get us bynum in a Hou-LA-Orl deal, then somehow facilitate Gasol out of LA to a team like Minny and get expirings and picks.
