    DVD playing help on labtop

I've had problems recently playing DVDs on my computer using Real One player, Windows Media Player 10, and Interactual Player. I get the same problem using all three. The sounding sounds scratched and the movie plays in almost a fast forward mode. It's probably something like a codec or something but I don't know exactly what. Thanks for you help.

If it is ALL of the programs, and you can't single one out as different, then it is the hardware (else, they will show different output or sound). I think?

Get Power DVD, or Win DVD probably will clear it up.

I have had this issue before and it was a sound card driver.

    Free stuff you can try:
    VNC

Thanks guys. Luckily, this is the school's computer that they give us and I can take it in to have the sound card replaced. I will try downloading the other programs.

WTF???? If it's THEIR machine, why do you post a thread to ask for help here? Don't they have TECH SUPPORT personnel you can go bother (you didn't bother us, I just mean to make THEIR ASS WORK for this ;) )...????

I'm willing to help you for your HOME sh*t, but I say f*CK your school l*pt*ps. AND I hate the JAZZ.

BTW, if you change any of the a's in "laptops" to a U, you may have enough letters to say: "putos" to the school techie guys. :D

It's my personal labtop. The school gives them to us while we are students and we get to keep them once we graduate. I was just wondering if there was something I can do before going to them.
    Thanks

I think you misunderstood me, it was not the sound card, but the DRIVERS for that sound card, once I got the right ones the problem went away.
