Just wondering if I am the only DVD fanatic on here? I'm sure that I'm not. I have well over 110 dvds. 16 of them are unopened. My list is over at DVD Aficionado There is also a great site for dvdcoupon's/information that I use. Anyone else go there? There are some guys over there that have 100's of dvds. Just imagine all the cash spent. I get almost all of mine through bargains. Either I buy them for 14.x at Wal-mart, or online with coupons, used at Blockbuster or through Ebay.
I'd like to be, but I had all my CD's stolen a few months ago, and it's shattered me forever. I had a bajillion CD's that I had been collecting since '94, and after losing them I decided it just wasn't worth spending all that money.
Ouch. Did you have insurance? I have about 400 CD's but stopped buying alot a few years ago. It would really hurt to lose them - can't replace some of them.
Yes, I have a problem, but I have it under control now. My first 4 weeks as a DVD player owner led me to buy about 40 DVDs and join two DVD clubs....ugh.....now I am much more picky. Worst DVD I got for free with the player: Stepmom Worst DVD I owned just cause the movie sucked: XXX Worst DVD owned because of the transfer: Highlander Best DVD owned due to the repeat viewing factor: 5th Element Best DVDs owned due to special fx/sound: Matrix / FOTR extended Best DVD I got for free with the player: Contact I've balanced out at 60+ flicks but my list of "wanna buys" is huge.
Do you have kids or do you just like Sesame Street? What's kinda funny is I bought some of the Disney classics and didn't like them that much and was able to sell them for twice what I bought them for when Disney did their moratoriums, one was Little Mermaid.
Speaking of worst DVDs.... Uhh I own Last Action Hero and I love it I forgot to mention, I am an avid Columbia House user myself. They have some great deals, don't go for the regular hook/line/sinker. They are some great codes that avg under $8 per dvd.
I stopped buying DVD's compulsively after I joined Netflix. I only buy things I just love watching over and over, like Aliens or Catgirls in Heat. (OK I think I made up the last one.)
I'm glad you made this post Sonny. I've added probably about 12 dvds thanks to the Columbia House thread you made previously. I knew you made a list of your dvds on a site, but I could not find the site. Now I know, and I'm off to make my own list. Work in Progress
Thank you. I feel a whole lot less guilty for quickly accumulating a mere 13. Feel free to waste your time. Hey, Cabin Boy and Novocaine was in the four dollar bin at Wal-Mart, what's a guy supposed to do.
Glad you liked it! That place is awesome for tracking your DVD's. You have 3 I already want to get Dogma, Resident Evil and American History X. Good choices. Thanks Woofer - those are old pics... he is almost 3. Growing up too fast. Here is a newer pic when he went to Old McDonald Farm New Pic Cohen - that's awesome. I'll get there one day, without my wife's approval.
You know, Resident Evil was a terrible movie, but I bought just for 2 reasons...and they are very good reasons in my opinion. 1. Laser cube scene early in the movie. 2. Cooch shot at the end.
Man, for some reason I really liked it. Just a cool plot. I've always enjoyed the Night of the Living Dead/The Stand type of movies. I am a big Milla fan also
Anyone here wanna swap their unwanted DVDs? Two of mine that I don't think I'll ever rewatch are Little Nicky and Shakespeare in Love.
you get extra cool points for having nightmare on elm street in your collection. my favorite that i have is... hmm... it's probably between jackass and the matrix. i plan on getting the transformers dvds (original cartoons) from bestbuy sometime soon.
