he hasn't impressed me so far at all this year. still no improvement in playmaking (it was already beyond subpar already), ability to control a game like all stars can do...

until he can make that leap, all he is is a scorer.

Durant is a stud, but only 1 assist with 3 t/o?

Needs to work on making his teamates better. I think it will be interesting to see who emerges as the next generation top dog between: Durant, Roy and Granger.

roy easily. he is an all-around player. he may not be able to score like them consistently, but great players impact the game in other ways.

granger is like a mini-durant. all scoring/rebounding, and nothing else. however, they are super-scorers. you can add kevin martin into their mix. all scoring, and nothing else.

George Gervin was a great player. It depends on the team...

If KD averages 30 a game while shooting 50+ percent, with 8 boards, on a championship team, imo he is a great player...

Kevin Durant will win MVP award one day, book it.

You don't see lots of assists from him 'cause most of the time his teammates couldn't make the shot.

KD is actually a good and willing passer.

Don't underrate Granger... he's a good defender and his playmaking ability is very underrated. But especially his defense, and stud scorer who plays defense like him will be in the MVP talks one day.

The way i see it is that roy has a much better team than the other two. In other words, he has more options to go to, and they can finnish as well. That i think is the main reason he has much better assist numbers. In terms of Durant, i feel that he is just doing what the coach tells him to do. Score. The ball ends with him. Offcourse, roy is a much better passer and has much better court vision. But i just feel that durants other numbers will greatly improve if he was on a better team.

Durant is several years younger than all of those guys. He is at least 4 years away from hitting his prime, around 24-25 years old. Think about it. He has 8-9 years to improve by leaps and bounds with no loss of athleticism. On top of that his game is not based on driving to the basket (although he can) like those other dudes. Already Wade has broken down alot. The dude could end up being sick, like KG but with point guard handles and more range. Scary.

Roy is here and now. Durant still has a little ways to go. He's improved every year and will do so again but he isn't on par with older, more polished stars yet. Roy is 25 and in his prime. It's hard to believe Durant just turned 21 a little over a month ago.

Well Roy already has a step on them because he has proven that he can make plays for this teammates.

granger is a very good defender, i forgot to mention that.

however, i was thinking about more on the offensive end. all those guys can score. but i think to be NEAR kobe/lebron/wade/paul level, you gotta be able to create for your teammates.

when i watch the thunder or pacers, they don't handle the ball that much unless the play is for them to score.

the thunder do have A LOT of talent. if KD learned how to create and make the game easier for his teammates, they would be a playoff team THIS YEAR. same with the pacers.

He has not impressed me either. We all know he can shoot and his rebounding has improved this year, but he is the supposed leader and I was watching that LA game against the Thunder in which it was a tie game with about 23 seconds to go and Durant holds the ball at the top of the key and then proceeds to shoot what seemed like a 28 foot three pointer.

Durant was awful at the end of that game. I don't understand what happened, but he didn't score a point in the 4th quarter or overtimes.

Yea, I was about to say t_mac1, Granger is solid on the defensive end, all he needs to develop somehow is his 1 on 1 defense and he'll be a stud on the defensive end. He has great help D with some nice blocks.

His injury he has right now is really hurting him on the offensive end.
