Update: Rich just talked to Rick Smith. The Texans had reached a decision to not play Dunte for missing flight. They changed their mind this morning, and now he will play for team today. We'll have the shound from Rick Smith in the 3rd hour of Countdown to Kickoff. Never a dull moment around here. Mods: Feel Free to edit the title of the thread.
Good decision by the Texans, it isn't like we need to have one of our few good players not playing just because of principle.
hopefully he had a good reason for missing the flight, which is why the team will let him play. I think it sets a bad precedent if there wasn't a legitamite reason for him to miss the plane and he doesn't get punished. No one player should be about the team. Either way the seconday def needs him to be playing. Thanks for the scoop
Have not heard why...I know it's no excuse, but there were some massive power outages on the SW side of town both friday and saturday night because of the winds. I know in Mo City/Sugar Land which is where Dunte lives, there were definitely some issues.
can you blame him? I was about to start a painting instead of watching the fame =( . I'm just letting my emotions speak for me. I've never missed a game, and never will. I hope he is okay.

Didn't see this thread until now. After reading Matt's first entry I thought...ohh that's right, I don't remember seeing Dunta during the game yesterday. Then read on to see he did play...but was just a non-factor as was the whole Texans D yesterday.
