Have many three's did Terry Porter miss down the stretch, and he wants to win a ring so bad?.

How many times has David Robinson fumbled the basketball?

    Even Avery was missing layups.

Sean Elliott is a non-factor, not as good as he used to be, but a non-factor.

Sure the Spurs are missing DA, but that is not an excuse. They could not close tonight, and as far i'm comcerned i think the spurs only have two games left.

Looks like 1995 all over again for the Spurs.

How many times did David get whistled for a completely BS call, which got him in foul trouble? The Spurs played great with Robinson on the floor-- it was when he left that they got in trouble. The Spurs role players came up small like you said, but if the officials call even a somewhat balanced game, this is a 1-1 series.

The two worst were in the second half-- where Shaq completely rolls over Robinson, but they call it on David. And then, in the mid 4th, David completely tied up Shaq-- ALL BALL-- and they have the nerve to call him for his 5th.

Dude, Your takes BLOW! You are getting blasted for this take in the "Spurs vs. Lakers" thread.

You should be suspended from the BBS for the rest of the playoffs, unless you change your ways. ...of course there is no way that can happen, but........

So because some people disagree with what I say that makes my takes wrong and means that they blow? I didn't realize some of us were prophets here on the BBS, where anything they say means its the truth. Thanks for clearing that up.

Oh, you want me to lie, and hide the truth? Sorry, that won't be happening anytime soon...

Credit where credits due - Antonio Daniels is playing well.

The Spurs are losing 'cause they are shooting poorly from the outside allowing LA to pack the lane agianst Duncan. Officaiting has been inconsistent but "let 'em play, it's the playoffs" does benefit Shaq and the Lakers.

The difference was the Spurs are missing their 2nd-leading scorer. They don't have another scoring threat to support Duncan. Juwan Howard was the MVP of last night's game. Take Fox and Fisher off the Lakers to make things more fair.

Duncan is amazing! Several times he INSISTED on guarding Shaq, and he shut him down! The guy is incredible. Compare that to Christina Webber -- sheesh.

Cat, you're right. The officials did take Robinson out of the game.

BUT, honestly, even with Robinson on the bench for so long, the Spurs had the opportunities to put the game away, and they did not.

There were lots of blown calls on both sides, as always, and unfortunately, Robinson beared quite a brunt of them. But the Spurs just didn't capitalize on the opportunities the game provided. They shot way too many off-balanced outside shots, instead of playing like a team and creating an open shot for someone. AND the Lakers did an excellent job of containing Duncan in the 4th. I think the Spurs just kinda got tired in the end. They all just kinda stood around, dragging, hoping Tim Duncan would do something great. That worked for 2 and a half quarters, but the Lakers made some great defensive plays on Duncan in the end, and that may have been the difference.
