    New dudes of 'Hazzard'

    By Zorianna Kit
It looks as if the old General Lee will be getting a tuneup. The script for Warner Bros. Pictures' big-screen version of "The Dukes of Hazzard" is still being wrestled into shape. But that's not stopping Ashton Kutcher and Paul Walker from expressing their interest in starring as the fast-drivin' cousins, with Anthony Anderson as Boss Hog, in the remake of the good-ol'-boys TV series that ran on CBS from 1979-85. Kutcher is so into the role that he even dressed up as Luke Duke last year on Halloween. And what about Daisy Duke? Rumors are already buzzing that Britney Spears, who worked with Kutcher on an episode of MTV's "Punk'd," is one possibility.

This has "straight to VHS" written all over it.

If I were casting the movie, here is how I would do it:

    Boss Hog - Marlon Brando

    Daisy Duke - Vida Guerra

Uncle Jessie - Billy Bob Thornton

    Bo - Brad Pitt

    Luke - Ben Whofleck

Rosco - Christopher Lloyd or Michael Richards

I would pay 6.50 to see Britney Spears wearing Daisy Dukes for an hour and a half.

I have a few ideas (real winners if you ask me):

    Alice

    Scarecrow and Mrs. King

    The Golden Girls

Bosom Buddies (Andy Dick would have to get a role in this)

    Cagney and Lacey

    Designing Women

    Joanie Loves Chachi

    Kate and Allie

    Perfect Strangers

Too Close for Comfort (isn't Jim J. Bullock looking for work??)

Starsky(sp?) and Hutch will be out later this year with Ben Stiller and in the infamous role of "Huggy-Bear" will be the D-O-double-gizzle.

I heard about the WW remake years ago with Jim Carrey playing Wonka. Now I heard Christopher Walkin will be Mr.W.

I think they should just let it be.

There goes Tim Burton, looking to make his spooky creepy version of Wonka. I had heard he was considering Depp, but it looks to be down to Walkin and Keaton.
