    I believe it's spelled "Punk'd".

Then again, it's not really a word.

That's kind of interesting. What character is left to be the "bad guy?"

Well, I guess it can't be any worse than the last piece of crap Batman movie they came out with.

The only other bad guys I can think of are Scarecrow and the Mad Hatter.

A Mad Hatter movie would be so freakin' badass. I don't know about Scarecrow, he was kinda gay. How 'bout having a villain return? Or maybe a villain from another series, like Luthor. Maybe not.

Kutcher would make a good Terry McGinnis in a possible 'Batman Beyond' movie.

As Bruce though? I just can't see it.

I read in several places that at one time, Patrick Warburton was being considered for the role.

In case some of you don't know who he is, This is the guy that played David Puddy in Seinfeld:

    Crook: Who are you???

    Batman (squinting): I'm Batman.

    Crook: Please don't kill me.

    Batman: *staring*

Crook: Ummmmm, I am leaving now.

Batman: I gotta go too. Feels like an Arby's night.

Crook: *in disbelief* Is that a Jesus fish on your batmobile???

Since it's Christopher Nolan directing, a movie with the scarecrow would seem right up his alley. If they are actually going with Kutcher, then it could mean they are doing Batman: Year One.

Terrible casting. As for villians, Scarecrow would be awesome. But my most formidable foe to date was Ra's Al Ghul. No one's even mentioned him.

Studio execs want Kutcher to get the female audience to see the movie. That's the ONLY reason I can think of.

I think it should be something compelling like a combination of batman and "The ring". Some brooding mystery that he can never solve and that will always haunt him.

And the MTV audience as well.

I think he's funny on That 70's Show, but when I saw Dude, Where's My Car? I was dissappointed. It seemed like he had no idea how to act. If he tested well though, how bad can he be?

I thought Clooney was pretty good, even though the movie wasn't. Val Kilmer was terrible.

The best guy around right now to play Batman: Billy Cudrup...

You want a Batman villain for the next film? How about Bane? The real one, not that sorry ass minion they reduced him to in Crapman & Robin. Not that it matters though. This is Warner Bros. we're talking about here. They can't even get a Superman movie off the ground, so they'll inevitably screw up Batman(again).

I think the best Batman would be Horatio Sans from SNL fame.

Let's face it the recent batman movies have been awful. It's time to venture into the surreal. Horatio as Batman and maybe Eugene Levy as Robin.

If I'm given the batman franchise, this is what I do:

Go back to being gritty and dark like the first one, but less stiff and tech reliant. I make the special effects make the movie possible, not the other way around. I concentrate on a story line, and get a real actor, but not a "name", like Cudrup, who can pull it off. I get into the psychology of the vigilante, and don't dismiss it with throw away lines...Wayne Mansion would look more like something from a murder mystery than from Disneyland...

As far as the character himself, I go the Spider-Man way; emphasize his athleticism and agility rather than his strength...more like an acrobat than a guy with superhuman strength.

And this above all: I emphasize the detective side of the superhero. That was the essence of Batman; he studied criminolgy, wanted to be a D.A. or cop, but turned to the tights because he wanted to sidestep the system, cause the criminal world fear, and deal out the justice his parents death demanded. But he was always called a detective first...and the movies have totally sjipped that; his detection has all been about looking at his big computer for a while waiting for it to spit out a name. I bring back the brain to go with the brawn.
