    I think they're charging him for kidnapping but not sure about attempted murder.

    His family is supposedly loaded so I bet he gets off light.

    What the hell is this fascination with burning people in South Asia/Afghanistan??

    Must stem from Zoroastrianism or something like Sati in Hindu culture (widow burns herself to death over husband's pyre)..

    I'm asking after reading stories like today's NY Times headline on Afghani women being burned alive:
