I'm having an issue with my dual monitor setup. I'm using a Lenovo T420 laptop on a dock and an HP Lv2011 monitor. To set it up I'm using the NVIDIA control panel and selecting the "Dualview" option.

The problem is that every time the PC goes to sleep or is restarted, it switches back to "Clone" mode. It's not a serious issue, but its starting to get really annoying having to readjust the settings five or six times a day.

Any thoughts on how to make the settings stick? Rep to all that may be able to help. Thanks.

Maybe try updating or re-installing the driver.

Don't use the Nvidia control panel. Use the built-in Windows display control panel. On Windows 7/8 right-click the desktop and choose "screen resolution."

Disable the Nvidia control panel one of two ways. Right-clicking the small icon in the bottom right hand corner of the task bar near the clock, which should bring up a contextual menu where you can disable it. Or you can press WINDOWS KEY + R and run MSCONFIG and go to the START UP tab and uncheck the box for Nvidia control panel. In Windows 8 this will open up the START UP tab in Task Manager. Right-click and choose disable for the Nvidia control panel.
