New England Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel was one of the top story's in the NFL this season, and as a result of his strong play on the field, he's going to become a very, very rich man this offseason, whether it be in New England or another NFL city.

This past weekend, like several NFL players, Cassel was taking in some of the Super Bowl festivities in Tampa Bay, including ESPN's party on Friday night. According to a gossip rag in the New York Daily News, Cassel's night wasn't exactly what you would call a pleasant one, as an unruly fan decided to use his leg as a public urinal.

Here's what reportedly went down according to a "spy" who witnessed the events transpire:

The football star was in line for the bathroom at ESPN's Tampa Bay Super Bowl bash Friday night when a drunken reveler tried to cut in front of him. "Matt told him to wait his turn and headed into the urinals," a spy tells us. Moments later, the fella barged in and proceeded to purposefully pee directly on Cassel's leg. After security tossed the drunk, Cassel headed back out into the crowd, wet pants and all.

Of course, the "drunken reveler" is fortunate that he wasn't on the receiving end of a punch to the eye.

For the most part, there are three unwritten rules to proper men's room etiquette, not including the obvious don't pee on anybody. 1) No unnecessary talking 2) No eye contact 3) No cutting in line.

"Wait your turn" seems like a reasonable request.

This freaking happened to me on bourbon street during mardi gras. It took all my friends and the offender's friends from stopping what would have been chaos. Looking back on it, I'm really glad my friends stopped me from fighting. I had a rather large pocket knife on me and there wasn't any place to run once the cops came. Spending time in a New Orleans jail facing assault with a deadly weapon charges wouldn't have been much fun.

If you don't get peed on during mardi gras on bourbon st, you weren't AT mardi gras.

Oh the irony of a "spy" witnessing this.
