This is, needless to say, an interesting perspective. It's about two hours en toto but even 15 minutes will prick your ears. Brasscheck sends a daily video link that is usually provocative. You may wish to subscribe... http://www.brasschecktv.com/page/261.html
Even the Cliff's Notes would be substantial. I'm only 2/3rds of the way through this-- although I'm somewhat familiar with his theses. The CIA is in the drug business. The war is about oil and drugs and will eventually extend into Columbia. US Corporations regularly launder drug money. Etc. The funny thing is... it's all very plausible.
maybe rhster will chime in because he has mentioned it alot, but there is a book called 'crossing the rubicon' about the 9/11 attacks, but which also deals heavily with this stuff (its all interconnected in the book). when you read the info presented it goes way beyond plausible. one could easily make the case that the cia are the biggest drug dealers in the world and wall street and big banking are directly tied to it as well. laundered drug money is essential to wall street and corporations. former cia directors go on to sit on boards of directors of banks that are known drug money launderers (john deutch-citigroup). enron was involved w/ laundered drug money with their cayman accounts. one theme in the book is that where ever the cia is, drug activity flourishes - for example, afghanistan was the biggest opium producer in the 90's - the taliban eradicated it by summer 2000 - by summer 02 it was the biggest producer again. 10% of all global trading activity is in narcotics - thats too big a piece of the pie to not be involved with it.
The insider trading with airline stocks pre-9/11 is pretty astounding. "Puts" were up a factor of 200 or so on two airline stocks: United and American. Big coincidence, huh? I used to not be able to believe that Americans would kill innocent Americans for political money but now it seems they will. Disheartening.

http://www.america.gov/st/pubs-english/2006/August/20060828133846esnamfuaK0.2676355.html "The 9/11 Commission investigated this issue in detail, concluding, “Some unusual trading did in fact occur, but each such trade proved to have an innocuous explanation.” # For example, it stated, “much of the seemingly suspicious trading in American [Airlines stock] on September 10 was traced to a specific U.S.-based options trading newsletter, faxed to its subscribers on Sunday, September 9, which recommended these trades.”"
i was summarizing from memory what was in a book called 'crossing the rubicon'. are there specific points you are having difficulty with?
america.gov? theres a reliable source when talking about this stuff. 9/11 commission? - that was a real unbiased commission whose members did not have a myriad of conflicts of interests. its all conspiracy theories though - just go back to bed!
And I suppose that this guy Ruppert is the only one who has figured everything out while the rest of the world is just blind. Ridiculous.
who said that ruppert is the only one who has figured everything out? i was merely pointing out that the author of the book i was referencing was the guy who did that video giddy linked to. i hadnt looked at the video before i made my first few posts in here, so i thought it was a noteworthy coincidence. ill ask again - are there specific points you are having difficulty understanding? i want to help you.
Drawing circles around the Frog and the Pig don't mean **** unless you pin the tail on the Henson. This dude need to go take some vacation time. Summers are nice in Odessa, but this time of year the weather's pretty good in Curacao.
lol there is no way that illegal drugs are anywhere near 10% global trade activity there is a lot of money in drugs sure, but in the grand scheme of things its not all that much money, not anywhere near the amount that exxons, walmarts, and mcdonalds bring in.
The United Nations estimates global drug trade at $500 billion or about 10% of all global trade. The United States estimates global drug trade at about $400 billion or about 8% of all global trade. But these estimates are based upon estimates of sales or street prices. And they are probably conservative. link
