i plan on applying to do some volunteer work there, and i was if anyone knows if they drug test. thanks
Regardless of whether or not it is paid or volunteer, I suspect a hospital would like to know if they are hiring a drug user.
It depends. When I did volunteer work for HCHD Ben Taub they just did your usual background check (criminal). No drug test was done. When I started my job at MD Anderson, yup, you best believe there was a drug test.
call and ask... just dont tell them your name. im doing an internship (volunteer) at methodist they needed a background check and a piss test.
I volunteered for Texas Children's Hospital when I was in high school and I don't remember being drug tested. Maybe they didn't feel the need to drug test a 16 year old?
They have an Occupational Health clinic. Employees are put through a full physical, including blood work, urine tests, and vision exam. There was no hair test. Moe
Bingo. If someone wants to drug test a person who is volunteering their time, I would go volunteer somewhere else. Screw 'em.
Will do, but you stop posting first. Lulz, I have a better chance at killing a dragon with a spoon or becoming a Wizard through zombie bite than willing to bet that's even possible. I could stop, no ****ing way you could you blowhard.
But don't you think it is especially inherent upon a hospital to check out any and all potential workers regardless of whether or not they are volunteers? They do have lots of drugs in hospitals and I suspect their thought process involves the fact that a current drug user is a potential threat to try and acquire more drugs.
