Drought, heat = ants in house?

yeah, we are! that's funny...we started noticing that yesterday. need the exterminator out.

 

I had an invasion of doodle bugs about a week ago (seriously) -- I'm pretty sure bugs start coming inside looking for water when it is this dry.

 

yeah, that...and we've had a dead body in the corner of the living room for a week now, so that's an attractor too.

 

Yup. But I found the two spots that they were using to get into the house and sprayed the hell out of them, and we've been ant free since. Same thing happened last year as well...

 

yeah, i had ants in my kitchen.

i bought some spray thing you attach to those hose. havent used it yet. do they work?


look at that, i found some on the desk right here.

 

A few more weeks of this and we'll be having to start spraying for bums.

I eventually seek help from the professionals. 3 visits and I have not found a single living ant anymore so far.

 

YES!, I had ants all over my bathroom and kitchen one day and then they just left, but you still see a couple here and there. What I saw was a load of ants with wings but I don't see those around now.

i Don't know. Sounds more crazy white guy serial killer to me.

 

i can deal with ants. it's flies that i can't stand. can't grill or bring home catch from a fishing trip without flies swarming everywhere.

 

Same here, I HATE flies! I had a bad problem with gnats awhile back, it ended up being a plumbing problem with the kitchen sink.

 

You should go see a proctologist. I hear ant's can originate and breed from the bung-hole.

 

Terro works great for ants. I had a bunch in my kitchen before and after a couple days of sitting that out, haven't seen one in a long time.

 

I had ants in my freaking TRUCK this past winter and spring.

Thankgod, I think it's gotten too hot for them and they all cooked and died.

They would run in and out of my dash. Little tiny ants.

Same here! Noticed them two days ago in the kitchen. I haven't had pest problems in over a year.

 

Well whats abnormal for my house is the abundance of Black Ants. We used to have (red) Fire Ants for 20 + years and hardly ever saw a black ant.

Here is what is really weird they are smaller and do not BITE !! I think they scared or fought the Fire Ants away? Now I don't use Ant killer because I'm afraid the Fire Ants will show up if the Black Ants die hahaha.
