If you wake up in the middle of the night from a particularly awesome/cool/sexified dream, are you able to return? Personally, I can't. The only times I ever get close are when I dream about the same kinda thing, but it's all different. Usually worse. Like going from Michael J. Fox on Spin City to Charlie Sheen. I mean it's the same...but strange and weird and not as good.
You dream about going from Micheal J Fox to Charlie Sheen? Sometimes I can go back and sometimes I can't. Usually, if I manage to go back, the story changes in some weird way.
I am like leroy420. Sometimes I can. Furthermore, I believe that if you wake up from a cool/awesome dream (and that encompasses any topic, mind you) you can return IF and ONLY IF you don't think about anything BUT about the dream you just had, and it's not over. If you wake up from a dream that the ROCKETS have 10 seconds left to make the winning basket, and you start thinking "hey, I wondered if Wrestling in the United States is fixed...?" and then try to go back to dream about the ROCKETS, you won't be able to see if the ROCKETS make the winning basket in your dreams. I think that other times, you're still in your subconscious long enough to think to yourself "I must continue this dream" and continue sleeping and dreaming. I dream I fly sometimes. I had dreamed about ROCKETS and OILERS' championships way before seeing anything like that.
Yeah, normally. It's not by choice, but I don't dream often, and when I do, I get the same dream or similar dreams all night and even over several nights.
Nope, never been able to. Of course, I hardly ever dream (well, I know I do, but I never remember any of them anymore). The last time I dreamed with any consistency was when I was around 8 years old. I think I've only had two or three dreams since. One was a nightmare that Hakeem got traded to the Mavs when I was 12. And he had dreadlocks for some reason.
I've gone back a couple of times, but usually can't. Also, for a year or so, I have been waking up from particularly "cool" dreams, right before the best part, if you know what I mean...what's up with that? I hope this is not a precursor for future real-life events...
ANOTHER QUESTION: Do some peeps in your dreams know some other peeps in your dreams from DIFFERENT eras or epochs in your life? A real and simple example: You're walking through the woods and you greet Olajuwon. He shakes your hand. He says: "Hey, meet my friend, Glenn Davis... he used to lead the NL in home runs... he's cool."
Someone's going through puberty!!! Maybe your mind wakes you up because it doesn't want to deal with wet sheets in the morning.
I did last night. Dreamt I was going to Japan, woke up just as I got on the plane, went to the bathroom (in reality), came back and forced myself to continue.
Lately I've been having dreams about random people that I haven't even thought of in 20 years. Really strange. Last night, I dreampt (sp?) I was at a birthday party for a guy I went to high school with. Seriously, I haven't even thought of this guy in 20 years. Totally random. Usually I remember my dreams and I'm pretty good at analyzing what they mean -- but this one has me stumped. And no....I'm not gay and dreaming about high school guys, so ZIP IT.
This happened to me this morning. RIGHT when it was about to hit pay dirt the alarm went off. I cussed. Loudly. As for the question, yes, I can usually always get right back into a dream but it never stays course. It always changes to a different situation. Sometimes rad, sometimes bad.
Sometimes I go back if I don't wake up completely. But that's very very rare. Never went back to a secksified dream tho. I dreamt about taking a huge dump when I was a kid and in the middle of it I woke up. I think I spent the next 10-15 minutes after I woke up convinced that I had poop in my pants.. and even went to wash off.
I don't necessarily remember the specifics of my dreams, but when I wake up in the middle of them, I generally go back to them once I fall asleep again.
for those of you who can't remember their dreams, or think they don't dream... http://www.brilliantdreams.com/ I've never tried them but I have tried the lucid dreaming sound kits and they are awesome.
