Some of the posters are too young to remember dream carrying the team on his back in the early 90's. That includes 7'4" Ralph Sampson who we all thought would be better than DREAM.

Steve Francis is a good player and can dominate at times however, we've watched DREAM torch every top center in the league at will with the Dream shake, step back, up and under, jump hook, spin move, cross over and whatever else anyone can up with. Francis will take over games at times, however, I don't think he will every carry the Rockets the way DREAM carried the team for over 6 years strong.

The Seattle series in 93' was a testament to DREAM'S ability as an ALL-STAR Player. David Robinson won (no Stole) the MVP trophy and DREAM lit him up like a X-mas tree in the playoffs. Patrick Ewing is still looking for DREAM after the spin move and one handed tomahawk slam. SHAQ still say's DREAM's the best center he's played against and he went down 4-0.

Francis is good, however DREAM IS GREAT and we should not attempt to compare Francis to DREAM. In addition, I could go ALL DAY on DREAM's defensive skills.

DREAM we love you man, UN-BEATABLE, UN-STOPPABLE.

What about 47pts 18rebs and 8 blks against Seattle in a playoff game! Only a big man can dominate like that. Not to mention the quadruple double and the other one they took from him one one lousy assist. He carried the Rockets most of his career , not just the last six. Check the times when he avg 22pts 14rebs and 4 blks.

Sad he will go out the way he will. He was the best and kept getting better. If Francis doesn't add that to his career he will always almost be a true superstar.
